Hello siblings, I went back to work on Monday because I did not want to take more time off sick. If someone is absent for more than a week, it will be considered Short Term Disability and they start asking questions. I didn't want that.

I made it through the week and thank God for the 1 - 2 work at home days.

The infection is not going away probably because of stress. I have 3 weeks off in October, wondering if I should request to take them sooner so I can rest and take care of myself. I wanted my vacation to be in the beautiful fall season and to enjoy it, not be not feeling well, will pray about this.

Hi siblings, I am on the third round of antibiotics with the same symptoms. I have 5 more days to go and I am getting scared in case I don't get better. I am supposed to be resting but I have to go to work. however, recently work has not been as bad and stressful as before and I like my colleagues a lot.

@heidi Wow, should you maybe see another doctor?  Whatever this one is doing doesn't seem to be working. Get a second opinion maybe?  I was going to a doctor once who said I had emphysema.  When he was on vacation I went to another doctor who said that wasn't emphysema, that was the flu.  I certainly hope you get better somehow.

Hi Terry, it's not the doctor's fault.

I have been getting better. today is the last dose of the antibiotic. My doctor will call me next week and make sure all is well.

@heidi I don't know.  I was concerned and sent him a private message a while back but haven't received a response.

I don't know.  I just now tried to look him up on the member list but the names aren't in alphabetical order, so how are you supposed to find anybody?  Administrator!  And almost nobody has pictures, even people who have pictures showing on the posting pages, so you would have to trudge through 15 pages and read every name.  I can't cope with that now.  I can either try again later or we could ask Richard if he knows of any easier way.  Maybe he can do it with some computer magic.

I had also noticed we haven't heard from Kolleen or her husband in while.  I didn't think much of it because they don't seem to post much anyway.  I looked, though, and it's been a year.  That's too long.  What is going on?

I think people reach a level of burnout from watching all of these many decades. Kolleen is a moderator on the FB Rita site. Paul was last here on Feb 2 but I don't even see Kent's profile.

Thanks.  That's somewhat encouraging.  Some of us are of an age, or situation, where disappearance could be cause for alarm.  When we were younger and heard sirens we naturally thought "fire".  Now when we hear those sirens nearby we tend to think "somebody is having a medical emergency."

In searching for Kent, best I can tell is that he was last here six months ago and deleted his account. His prior posts show up as "Anonymous 394"

Hi siblings, can someone give me an opinion on this please. i was driving to an event outside the city. i was on a hwy that has only one lane in each direction. I had arrived at my destination so I was turning left to get into the driveway, when the car behind me decided to pass me and hit me.

I knew I should get out of the car and take a photo of their car, but I was in shock. I think they took a photo of my car and we exchanged info. The woman said let's do it outside of an insurance claim because it will be expensive. I told them I will think about it.

when I arrived at the event, I got the emotional support that I needed and was given something for shock. they also checked my car. it had scratches at the front and something fell down (don't know what they call it) but a guy was able to push it up again.

can someone help me out with this. any guidance?

thank you

Wow.  I thought anytime there was an accident you were supposed to stay there and call the police.  I don't know about insurance but wouldn't want to go through any of the follow-up procedures without professional help.  What if she decides to sue you after you have put it off too long to adequately defend yourself?

@terry

Not in California.  I had a slight accident on Friday.  A guy drove into my lane. Our cars barely tapped.  We pulled off the street to a safe place. He called 911.  The police asked if anyone was injured and he said no, so they told us to exchange information and let the insurance companies figure it out.  The damage was so slight that both of us decided not to make an insurance claim.  My husband buffed the paint and rubber his car left off of my car.
In your case, it sounds like it was the other woman's fault since she hit you from behind so her insurance would be the one that would pay.
