Golly.  Maybe we could start a weight loss fad for humans: call it the Rug Diet.  Only organic rugs.  High in fiber!  Low in fat.  No calories.

Glad your fur baby is on the mend, Geri. :yahoo:  Great news.

We are HOME!  I opened up a can of special GI track food.  Put half in a dish.  I then sat in his playpen and held him in my arms for 20 minutes reassuring him everything will be ok.  I then was able to spoon feed him a few bites.  But he is still sooo out of it (eyes are squinting) looking around confused from the anesthesia.  So he is sleeping now.  I will put his small plate of food in the refrig and then try again later.   But at least he opened up his mouth for 5 bites of mushy chicken dog food.  That’s the most since Saturday!

He LOVES to chew rubber.

The indestructible rubber KONG toy .. that you put a treat in and its suppose to be entertaining for them to try to get the treat out?  Well … in 15 minutes he had the rubber KONG in pieces.

Same with the rubber frisbees … its in pieces.

He loves to chew blankets and the pillows and then he will pull the stuffing out.

The only time I do see him licking the floor and that is probably when he pulls on the threads of the small rugs is because he can’t find enough house dust on the floor and this is because he has an upset stomach and he wants foreign things inside him so it makes him barf it up.  But the problem is … not all is coming up and its getting stuck.  So do I let the house dusting go?

I think I would have to agree with Regina then.

They say anxiety, too little food etc etc are reasons dogs chew, and that the muzzles are good for the time it takes to find out why he's doing it. Unless you know already.

If it were me if you haven't, I would find my favorite scriptures on peace from the Word, and pray them over him every day. His habit patterns aren't too big for God to change. :rose:

And once again we praise God for His mercies towards Dodger! Thank You, Father for Your loving kindness!

So glad to hear he’s eating even if just a little!
