Yes and Amen to all the wonderful prayers!

God is merciful even behind the scenes and His mercies abound beyond our sight!

:prayer-hands:  for your dear mom to have clarity of mind to hear the Gospel and she will become a believer.

Sadly I “think” she is in the last stages of dementia …

My dad suffered from that horrible disease and the last few months before he went to heaven … he kept falling down and hitting his head and broke a few ribs.   He was in a rehab facility the day he died … he apparently fell out of bed and they found him on the cold hard floor.

Anyhow prayers are going up … don’t give up hope!

A form of transitioning from this realm to the next!

Yes, I believe so after speaking with my sister who says back in 2017 she wasn’t herself. So most dementia, if it is that, die within 4 to 8 years. So we are that point or 4 years away.

I prayed with an elderly person who has Alzheimer to accept Jesus. He repeated what I said, after he finished the prayer, he had this sweet and somehow peaceful smile on his face.

My grandfather contracted Alzheimer’s at age 83. He died 5 years later. He had been an evangelist and a preacher his entire life starting at age 16. My great aunt turned 100 last month but this year dementia has taken over. She is also a Christian. I do not understand why anyone has to suffer from these diseases. Even Christians are not immune. I know that God has His plan but sometimes it's very difficult to understand why. I wish I had words to soothe and salve but I do not. But I offer what I can in prayer and standing with you as you deal with this.

Goldenknight, I'm so sorry...if it were my situation, I would sit with her and bind the enemy away from her mind and heart. I would pray the blood of Jesus over her and for the Lords presence to be near her. I would ask forgiveness of the Lord that she has thus far rejected Jesus as Lord. I would pray softly that her ears hear, and that she has a heart to understand, asking the Lord to prepare her to hear by His Spirit, whatever scriptures you choose for her to hear regarding His love, His will and re: salvation. I would ask the Lord to give her a heart to choose life, no matter what the illness or the outward appearance looks like. I would read Romans 10:9-10 to her for one. I would pray that her heart is open to believe, choose and receive Jesus as her Savior, as you read the gospel of salvation to her. Then all you can do is trust God with the results.

God is a God of miracles. He can intervene. I have faith that He can touch your Mom's inner man to hear with her mind and heart, the truth you minister, that she might choose life, whether or not you see outward results.

Praying for your Mother to meet Jesus exactly where she is and praying for you, sir, for peace and God’s comfort, you will need it for the things to come, but our Father holds you in the palm of His hand. :prayer-hands:

Agree with Johanan and Kolleen!

Would go one step further and say that audible and recognizable acknowledgements while not always obvious to us, are to God!

He knows the hearts of everyone!  And these are known by Him even before we are born!
