@sonyab1974 I'm glad he got the honor while we're still here.  Now if we leave Monday, the democrats can go on about their business and not be bothered with him, or Vance, or Bobby, or Elon!

Donald Trump Wins the Presidency; Greatest Comeback in American History:

Former President Donald John Trump is the winner of the 2024 presidential election, and will become the first person to win back the Oval Office after losing a reelection bid since Democrat Grover Cleveland in 1884 and 1892.

Trump — the 45th and soon-to-be 47th president — secured a path to a 270-vote threshold in the Electoral College with a victory in Pennsylvania, one of the “blue wall” states he won in 2016, and where he campaigned vigorously throughout the campaign.

Vice President Kamala Harris turned in a strong showing among female voters. But she underperformed among urban voters and young voters that she needed to turn out to hold off the red tide outside the big blue cities.

Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) will ascend to the vice presidency at the age of 40, the third-youngest vice president in U.S. history. His success may be a signal that the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement will live on for decades.

... Trump faced multiple prosecutions; two assassination attempts; censorship on social media; overt media bias; and even efforts to intimidate his lawyers.

Harris built her candidacy on the idea that she represented a “new generation” of leaders, as the first black, female, and Indian vice president. She relied heavily on the issue of abortion rights but offered few other policies to voters.

She was never meant to be the candidate; she took the nomination only after President Joe Biden was forced to quit the campaign after a disastrous debate performance in June that shook Democrats’ confidence in his mental stamina.

... after one of the most improbable campaigns in the long annals of American politics, the voters have selected the leader who will preside over the 250th birthday of the country.

He is, once again, President-elect Trump.

DOJ and Special Counsel Jack Smith Reportedly Evaluating Full Dismissal of Federal Cases Against President-Elect Trump Ahead of Inauguration:

The Biden Gestapo Department of Justice (DOJ) and Special Counsel Jack Smith are reportedly scrambling to find ways to abandon their witch hunt against President-elect Donald Trump as he prepares to assume office.

According to sources close to the DOJ per NBC, high-level officials are now debating how to sideline both the Jan. 6 and classified documents cases.

Despite substantial evidence suggesting these cases were politically motivated, DOJ officials are now faced with the reality that they won’t achieve a trial anytime soon, regardless of who resides in the Oval Office.

With legal challenges and appeals poised to escalate to the Supreme Court, the department finally seems to realize that their flimsy cases lack the substance needed to hold in any meaningful court setting.

NBC reported:

Now that Trump will become president again, DOJ officials see no room to pursue either criminal case against him — and no point in continuing to litigate them in the weeks before he takes office, the people said.

It was also reported that Jack Smith will step down before Trump is sworn in.

In a recent interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt, Trump didn’t mince words, declaring he would fire Jack Smith “within two seconds” of taking the oath of office.

TRIFECTA! Republicans Will Hold The House and Senate, Giving Trump’s Agenda Unprecedented Mandate:

Republicans are projected to hold the House of Representatives, according to latest projections.

While not all the races have yet been called, credible sources are now reporting that the GOP has an over 95 percent chance of keeping control of the House of Representatives.

The final tally remains unclear, although it currently appears that Republicans will have a slim majority of around a dozen seats under the leadership of Speaker of the House Mike Johnson.

Such developments will give Donald Trump an unprecedented mandate to implement his second-term agenda, paving the way for everything from mass deportations of illegal aliens all the way through to tax cuts and deregulation.

Another major advantage is the fact that most of the RINO Republicans, such as the likes of Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, have been rooted out of office. This will make it much easier to pass legislation.

In Huge Blow to Gavin Newsom, Prop 36 Passes in 71-21 Landslide – California Votes to Increase Penalties For Theft and Drug Trafficking:

Proposition 36 passed in California in a landslide 71% to 21%.

California voters overwhelmingly voted to increase penalties for theft and drug trafficking after a record number of brick and mortar retailers closed down due to smash-and-grab robberies.

Governor Gavin Newsom (D) opposed Prop 36 because he said it’s “too harsh.”

Prop. 36 rolls back some of the soft-on-crime policies that California voters passed in 2014 with Prop. 47.

Dem Strategist Roginsky: We Don’t Know How to Talk to ‘Normal People,’ We’re ‘Not the Party of Common Sense’:

Democratic strategist and CNN contributor Julie Roginsky said Thursday on CNN’s “Newsroom” that her party cannot speak to “normal people,” stating that it was “not the party of common sense.”

Roginsky said, “You know, I’m going to speak some hard truths to my friends in the Democratic Party. This is not Joe Biden’s fault. It’s not Kamala Harris fault. It’s not Barack Obama’s fault. It is the fault of the Democratic Party in not knowing how to communicate effectively to voters. We are not the party of common sense, which is the message that voters sent to us.

For a number of reasons, for a number of reasons, we don’t know how to speak to voters. When we address Latinos — and language, and language has meaning — we address Latino voters as Latinx, for instance, because that’s the politically correct thing to do, it makes them think that we don’t even live on the same planet as they do.

When we are too afraid to say that, ‘Hey, college kids, if you’re trashing a campus of Columbia University because you aren’t happy about some sort of policy and you’re taking over a university and you’re trashing it and preventing other students from learning that that is unacceptable.’ But we’re so worried about alienating one or another cohort in our coalition that we don’t know what to say.”  She continued, “When normal people look at that and say, ‘Wait a second, I send my kids to college so they can learn, not so that they can burn buildings and trash lawns,’ right?

Roginsky said, “...we put pronouns after names and say she/her... stop with the virtue signaling and just speak to people like they’re normal.  We constantly try to parse out different ways of speaking to different cohorts because our focus groups or our polling shows that so-and-so appeals to such and such. That’s not how normal people think. It’s not common sense. And we need to start being the party of common sense again.”  And until we do that, we should stop blaming other people for our own mistakes.”

JUST IN: Governor Newsom Calls Special Legislative Session to ‘Fight Trump’:

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) on Thursday convened a special legislative session to fight President Trump after he won the election in a landslide against Kamala Harris.

Governor Newsom said Trump, based on his actions taken during his first term in office, is a threat to California’s climate change program, illegal immigrant population, women’s rights and LGBTQ+ rights.

“California is ready to fight,” Newsom said. “I just called an emergency special session to help bolster our legal resources and protect our state against any unlawful actions by the incoming Trump Administration.”
“Whether it be our fundamental civil rights, reproductive freedom, or climate action — we refuse to turn back the clock and allow our values and laws to be attacked,” Newsom said.
