Primary Sabotage? Niqab-Wearing Muslim Woman Who Has Voted Democrat Since at Least 2008 is the ONLY ‘Republican’ Running for North Carolina Senate:

In a move that has shocked conservatives across social media, a niqab-wearing Muslim woman named Lakeshia M. Alston has filed to run as a Republican for North Carolina State Senate District 22 in the 2026 election.

Alston is the only Republican in the race so far, and her history screams lifelong Democrat.

The shocking move has led many to question if this is an infiltration tactic from the left, designed to disrupt GOP primaries and hand victories to Democrats in the general election.

Alston’s photo and registration went viral on X when conservative commentator Eric Daugherty posted a screenshot of her official filing and an image of her standing between the American and North Carolina flags, fully veiled in a black niqab that obscures her face except for her eyes.

The images, submitted to the Durham County Board of Elections, have gone viral, amassing thousands of likes and reposts as conservatives question the legitimacy of her candidacy.
Her record includes consistent Democratic primary participation in 2020, 2018, 2016, 2014, 2012, 2010, and 2008.

Alston hasn’t publicly explained her shift and attempts to find her campaign platform yield nothing. There are no websites and no policy statements.

Her X account, @LakeshiaAlston1, appears to be abandoned, with just two followers and an outdated profile picture from 2012.

With no other Republicans stepping up yet, Alston could sail through the GOP primary unopposed on March 3, becoming the automatic nominee.

The North Carolina Republican Party has yet to comment publicly, but calls are mounting for them to investigate and encourage a true conservative to enter the race before the filing deadline.

BREAKING: FBI Director Kash Patel Confirms Somali Fraudsters are Being Referred for Denaturalization and Deportation:

FBI Director Kash Patel dropped a major bombshell on the massive Minnesota fraud scandal on Sunday, revealing that the FBI is pushing for denaturalization and deportation of many involved in the $250 million scheme that ripped off taxpayer dollars meant for hungry kids during COVID.

Patel made it clear this is “just the tip of a very large iceberg,” with investigations ramping up to expose even more corruption in federal programs.

...Patel detailed the takedown of a $250 million scheme centered around the Feeding Our Future network.

This organization, which was supposed to distribute federal food aid to children in need, instead became a hub for sham vendors, shell companies, and large-scale money laundering.

The fraudsters didn’t stop at stealing money; they attempted to undermine the justice system itself. Abdimajid Mohamed Nur and others were charged with trying to bribe a juror with $120,000 in cash during a related trial. Those involved have pleaded guilty, with Nur receiving a 10-year prison sentence and being ordered to pay nearly $48 million in restitution.

President Trump has labeled Minnesota a “hub of fraudulent money laundering activity” and blasted Walz for failing to prevent the theft.

Tech Founders Slam Proposed California Wealth Tax, Warn of Potential Exodus:

A proposed wealth tax targeting billionaires in California has sparked intense pushback from tech founders in the state, with some preparing to leave if the tax becomes law.

Fortune reports that a proposed wealth tax aimed at billionaires in California has yet to qualify for the state’s ballot, but it has already triggered a wave of criticism from tech founders who warn of its potential consequences. The proposal, which calls for California residents worth more than $1 billion to pay a one-time tax equivalent to five percent of their assets over five years, has prompted some high-profile tech figures to consider leaving the state.

Palmer Luckey, cofounder of defense tech startup Anduril, warned that the tax would force founders to sell significant portions of their companies to pay for “fraud, waste, and political favors for the organizations pushing this ballot initiative.” He expressed concern that if he and his wealthy peers cannot come up with billions of dollars in cash to pay the tax, the state could seize their homes and garnish their wages.

Dave Friedberg, cofounder and CEO of Ohalo Genetics, argued that the wealth tax amounts to an “organized government seizure of private property from citizens” who have already paid other taxes that can total 53 percent in California. He warned that the tax flirts with socialism and represents “a slippery slope that has never gone anywhere good.”

Garry Tan, CEO of tech startup accelerator Y Combinator, told the New York Post that the wealth tax would drive capital out of the state, hurt innovation, and eventually weaken support for healthcare services. “This measure would cause a stampede of unicorns out of California to other states, which would reap the benefits of entrepreneurs, technology and jobs that California enjoys now,” he added.

Big Beautiful Bill to Provide $50B to Strengthen Rural Hospitals — More Than 700 at Risk of Closure:

A report found that roughly one-third of the nation’s rural hospitals are at risk of closure due to financial constraints as the Big Beautiful Bill seeks to strengthen rural hospitals with $50 billion in funding.

The Center for Healthcare Quality & Payment Reform (CHQPR) released a report detailing how more than 100 rural hospitals have closed over the past decade, and more than 700 rural hospitals are at risk of closure. It found that in the majority of states more than 25 percent of rural hospitals are at risk of closing, and in 10 states, 50 percent or more are at risk.

The Center found that these 700 rural hospitals at risk of closures, which amount to one-third of all rural hospitals, are at risk due to financial problems they continue to face, which include:

  • Losses on patient services. Rural hospitals face higher costs to deliver health care to rural communities.
  • Insufficient revenue replaced to offset lost revenue from the closure of pandemic-era federal assistance.
  • Limited financial reserves as rural hospitals rack up debt.

The Center wrote how the closure of rural hospitals would harm patients and the local economy:

Most at-risk hospitals are in isolated rural communities, where closure of the hospital would force residents of the community to travel a long distance for emergency or inpatient care. Moreover, in many cases, the hospital is the only place where residents can get laboratory tests or imaging studies, and it may be the principal source of primary care in the community. As a result, closure of the hospital would cause a loss of access to many essential healthcare services. In addition, rural hospital closures threaten the nation’s food supply and energy production, because farms, ranches, mines, drilling sites, wind farms, and solar energy facilities are located primarily in rural areas, and they will not be able to attract and retain workers if health care isn’t available in the community.

"More than 60 million Americans living in rural areas have the right to equal access to quality care,” Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said in a written statement..."

“Today marks an extraordinary milestone for rural health in America,” CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz said. “Thanks to Congress establishing this investment and President Trump for his leadership, states are stepping forward with bold, creative plans to expand rural access, strengthen their workforces, modernize care, and support the communities that keep our nation running. CMS is proud to partner with every state to turn their ideas into lasting improvements for rural families.”
