Anonymous Rumors Claim Pentagon Planning Cuba Invasion:

The newspaper USA Today reported on Wednesday, citing anonymous “sources familiar,” that the Pentagon was “quietly ramping up” a plan to attack Cuba — a report that followed similar rumors on Substack.

USA Today offered few details about what the alleged “possible” military engagement was or would look like, not referring to it as an invasion or attack but merely an “operation.” An expert quoted in the USA Today article itself dismissed the rumors as “a lot of signaling” with minimal material evidence that any such operation was imminent.

Trump says Israel, Lebanon agree to ceasefire:

US President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Lebanon had agreed to a ceasefire Thursday, and said he was trying to set up the first-ever meeting between the leaders of the two countries.

Following what he called “excellent” phone calls with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, Trump said the truce would begin within hours.

Nolte: Mamdani Grocery Store Will Take 3 Years to Build, Cost Absurd $30M:

Zohran Mamdani, the Communist-Islamist mayor of New York City, is certainly living up to his Communist label with the announcement his government-owned grocery store will cost a ridiculous $30 million and take three years to build.

“This store will be open in 2029,” Mamdani told supporters this week about his plans to build a 9,000 square foot store on a vacant lot. “The reason that we’re announcing it first is that, unlike other stores, this will be built from the ground up.”

“I almost fell back when I saw the $30 million number,” Anthony Pena, president of the National Supermarket Association, told the New York Post. “Even a high-end, gourmet store in the middle of Manhattan wouldn’t cost that much to build.”

Will East Harlem see a glorious grocery palace complete with massage therapy, IMAX movie theaters, free daycare, a coffee bar, and a full spa? Nope…

“When it comes to the products that we will be selling at the city-run grocery stores, there will be an essential basket of goods that will be guaranteed a cheaper price, and cheaper than what they’re being sold at currently,” Mamdani said.

Oh.

First, that $30 million is just to build the thing. My guess is that at least half of that money will be used for graft to pay off Mamdani’s supporters in the unions and the like, but that $30 million does not include the cost of running the store, purchasing the food, and operating at a loss.

Second, what will this government-run store do to all those East Harlem grocers who require a profit to remain in business? Mamdani’s either going to bury them in bankruptcy, or he’ll have to subsidize them to keep them in business.

These schemes never work, and there is nothing about this plan that doesn’t spell boondoggle.

New York City getting what it voted for is grand entertainment.

Nolte: Two Polls Show Increased Republican Support for Trump:

Despite an all-out corporate media propaganda campaign using a few marginalized podcasters as “proof” there is a growing rift between President Donald Trump and Republican voters, new polling shows the opposite is true.

Some might find this hard to believe, but social media is not real life.

To wit…

Between March and April in the far-left Quinnipiac poll, support for Trump among Republicans increased from 72 percent to 81 percent.

Similarly, a poll from the Economist/YouGov shows an increase in Republican support for the president. What had been an 82 percent approve, 14 percent disapproval rating in March has risen by four net points to 84 percent approve, 12 percent disapprove.

Further, and again despite the media’s lies and the right’s pathetic Paniccons, the Iran War has so far been a smashing military success. Republicans understand that 1) the media lie about everything as it pertains to Trump and 2) the American military quickly achieved its objectives in Iran with far fewer casualties than anyone had any right to even dream of.

So, of course, GOP support is growing for Trump. He is once again doing what he said he would do, and he is doing it well.

Trump Says Iran ‘Can’t Blackmail’ United States, After Ships Come Under Fire in Strait of Hormuz:

President Donald Trump said that the United States will not be “blackmailed” after the Iranian military has once again proclaimed that the Strait of Hormuz will be closed and allegedly fired on multiple vessels on Saturday.

Speaking from the Oval Office on Saturday morning, President Trump said that while his administration is having “very good conversations” with Tehran, he said that the Islamist regime was trying to act “a little cute” by attempting to close down the Strait of Hormuz just hours after agreeing to open the critical waterway.

Following their threats to shut down the Strait again, multiple vessels came under attack on Saturday, including a container ship that was hit “by an unknown projectile which caused damage to some of the containers” off the coast of Oman, according to the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO).

This came after two merchant vessels said that they had been attacked by gunfire, the Times of London reported.
