Gee, I was thinking a "spitting event" would be a great addition to the Olympics!

Sadly, spitting is a big part of Korean and Chinese culture. (No pun intended.) They believe it is unhealthy to hold it in so out it comes. *Ugh*

I really enjoyed traveling to Japan for that reason. I don't believe I ever saw anyone spit there. It was refreshing.

It's all lies and deception at this point.

This guy makes some good points about that.

Very good points. I suppose the deception is not only waged against the enemy but also against the country's own populace. There are certainly a lot of disinformation agents out there.

It is hard to know who to trust. So many lies and deceptions. 🙁

Ultimately, we can only trust God. He is absolutely trustworthy. Smile

Leaving Soon your last posts have been scaring me. I think I might just log off and not read Ritan anymore.

Sorry. And I feel the same way about the internet as a whole. I keep getting upset and telling myself I don't even want to turn on my computer for at least a month but here I am.

Hey Heidi,

Sometimes it is good to take a break, I had a time like that a few months back when the culmination of bad news was getting to me.....at those times, it is good to get off of news and get into the Word so that He brings you the peace and victory that He intends for you to have. You are a child of God, and He will complete the work He has started in you in spite of all the bad news.

I am interested in hearing and using these news stories as opportunities to direct my prayers, as I know that the wars that are being fought are not against flesh and blood but against powers and principalities and rulers of darkness in high places but good news is.....we read the end of the Book and God wins.  :yahoo:  Just know that we understand if you need a break, but all of us sincerely hope that if you take a break you will then come back refreshed and join back in the conversation as we watch for the Blessed Hope!

Praying for you Heidi. These are scary times But God......

has complete authority and control over all human beings and all  of the universe. And because He is Good, we can rest assured in His Word, His promises His absolute and loving control in every detail of our lives. No matter what, He will never stop providing, protecting and caring for His children. He always knows what we need from day to day.

Whatever happens, our God will carry us through

Living in the end times is going to bring with is scary stories. It just goes with the territory. But God is in control of all things and we are to take shelter under His wing. He is our Rock and our Fortress, in Him do we trust. No matter what goes on around us we must always remember two things: This is not our world, we are merely sojourners through it. And God has everything under control. Worrying is the opposite of trust and if we struggle with that then we should pray for God to remove the worry and fill that place with His Holy Spirit. What seems insurmountable to us is a piece of cake for God. He will see us to whatever end He already knows is in store for us, be it Rapture or old age or anything in between.
