And still we wait  ... another day ... another week ... another month ... another year ... and for some of us, another decade.  We've been waiting so long that our faith is shaken, our nerves are bare, and our hope is impinged.  But still, we carry on and brave this world.  Soon it will stop, but not fast enough for me.  I'm struggling just to endure until then end, whenever that might be.

Each day seems to last an eternity,

While we anticipate our Final Deliverance,

The attacks of the adversary only increase with intensity,

As he relentlessly strives to achieve Heavenly severance.

His heathens rage with such ferocity,

They ridicule our Walk with vicious disdain,

Our vessels are thrashed by merciless fury,

And our resolve assailed by tumultuous rain.

But like fortresses stoutly buttressed,

And knights brandishing radiant shields,

We’re steadfast doves with Godly wings,

Flying boldly through the enemy fields.

As valiant as trees withstanding a blizzard,

Bravely struggling to preclude their deaths,

Like roses perforated by endless gales,

We grasp longingly for our diminishing breaths.

Standing staunchly amidst the daily onslaught,

Solemn castles with protective moats,

Tenaciously facing the elements that seek to destroy,

We resist the daggers fiercely thrust at our throats.

Is our Faith worth all this pain?

Has it been worth our sacrifice of Pride?

Although we suffer daily in this world of “self”,

We know we’ve already been JUSTIFIED!!

Jesus paid a debt He didn’t owe,

Because we owe a debt we cannot pay,

Hence, determinedly we must continue to seek His Strength,

To help us endure until RAPTURE DAY!!!

Hang in there friends and hang on tight -- because that is all we can do in this world filled with hate, chaos, strife, godlessness, and lies.  We are near the end, and the end is near. I say this to myself just as assuredly as I encourage you -- HANG ON!!

Your pal,

Humbly

Kolleen:  I wish I had a better gift, because my words are just boring redundancies rearranged in different orders.  I wish I was artistic and could paint beautiful pictures; or musically-inclined to play beautiful harmonies; or able to sing or dance or preach, etc. You, and so many others here, post and state so many beautiful images and intelligent topics.  I appreciate all that, thank you!

But I am artistically and musically declined, awkward at dancing, and horrible at singing.  I basically can clear a room very fast by attempting to do any of the above.  But thank you for the encouragement, it made me feel better.

Your pal,

Humbly

Thus sayeth the Lord, Humbly? :mdrmdr:  Good strategy though.  The last shall be first.  :good:

Humbly bumping this up since it is so relevant to our moment in time, although it was written over 1.5 years ago.  I'm constantly thinking in my own simple mind "we're perched upon the precipice -- any time now Lord!

This was inspired by the Holy Spirit within me and continues to monopolize my thoughts today.

Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus!

I thought we'd be at the throne of God via the Rapture BEFORE we saw the world get this bad!
I do know this. Our heavenly Father has a purpose for our still being here . . . . He will remove us at exactly THE PERFECT time, which I believe is very, very near.

"Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain (empty) thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against His anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Then shall He speak unto them in His Wrath, and vex them in His sore displeasure. Psalm 2:1-5

~ ~ our Blessed Hope is so close, we’re are seeing the veil, which separates the unseen world from the seen world, being pulled away. That could only happen if our Lord is allowing it.
