I thought I'd bring up this subject as I believe that the Antichrist kingdom will be a Gnostic New Age one. An emphasis of the spiritual and a rejection of the physical.

Who were the Gnaw Sticks (couldn't resist 😉 )? Among many of their heretical beliefs, they believed that physical matter was evil and the spiritual was good. Therefore, they denied Jesus having a human body. They had varying views on morality ranging from extreme aecetism (must separate from the physical and be as spiritual as possible) to liscenciousness. Hope I spelled that right. (Sin it up in the physical body as it is going to get burnt up anyway.)

They also believed that the perfect human form is genderless, the merging of man and woman and the Gnostics (along with Kabbalah) are behind the transgender movement.

They were a thorn in the side of the early church and tragically left their poisonous thorns in certain church doctrines and beliefs, even to this very day. They sort of went underground for a long time and have resurfaced as neo-gnosticism in the New Age movement. They also are the primary belief and philosophy of Freemasonry as well as other cults, Mormonism in particular.

IMHO, this is what META is truly all about. The rejection of the physical as you descend into the spiritual only.

Here is some good articles to familiarize yourself a bit with Gnosticism:

Finally, an article explaining the connection between Gnosticism and Freemasonry:

Some so-called words-of-knowledge could be gnostic in nature, I suppose.  Manipulative often?

Geri, would Dodger be better off chewing on gnostics?  😉

Correct, Dan. A lot of the contemplative spirituality and "Christian" mystical teachings are actually Gnostic in origin.

Neo-Gnosticism In The Faith Movement

– by Clete Hux

Many times in the history of the church there have been winds and waves of heretical teachings passing through and Christians have been alert enough to spot the errors. Other times, the Church has not been quite so discerning and the result has been reaping a whirlwind of counterfeit beliefs and practices. Such is the case of gnostic elements in the “word-faith,” “word of faith” (WOF), or “positive confession” movement.

All too often Christians have spoken out against the blatant and excessive abuses of the so-called “name it and claim it” or “health and wealth” gospels of the WOF movement without realizing there are far more serious teachings of the movement which need to be addressed. Why do many Christians fail to spot the real doctrines of the WOF? Perhaps one reason is the camouflaging of Gnostic beliefs with Christiant terminology.

:mdrmdr:   Yes, I prefer he chew on gnostics and then spitting it out!

While out for the count for 3 hrs he managed yank-off my sock and chewed a hole. 🙁   He made sure he did his damage first before barking to wake me up.
