Chance on Five Doves posted about the Comet 73P meteor shower coming the night of May 30. It sounds like this might just be a pretty shower to watch and not a major catastrophe. MFATW on Begley's show last week said that the shower is just the first part of more debris that will hit the earth. He said they don't know if the additional debris will hit in 2 weeks, 1 month, or 2 months, but that there is more coming. I am wondering if the 2nd hit will be the sudden destruction that we are snatched from. I saw that President Biden is going to Israel later this month to promote dividing the land. Then we have the rumor that Israel is about to do something about the Iranian nuclear program. Maybe all these things happen close together at any of the proposed Pentecost dates this month. Some people think Pentecost is June 15 which I think is because the Dead Sea Scrolls said that Pentecost was always the 15th day of the third month. The folks that think the calendar is off a month are looking all the way to July 5-6. If you go to Hanukkah 2025 (Dec. 13-22) and subtract 1260 days you get a time period of July 2-11. It looks like we have a lot of dates to watch, but I would be happy to leave with a beautiful meteor shower tomorrow night! Blue, what you posted also makes a great point, we have often heard that when Jesus said “no man knows the day or hour” it was meant as an idiom to mean Rosh Hashanna, as if we said “turkey day” an American listener would understand it to mean Thanksgiving. However as you adequately described, there is a lot of room for interpretation on Pentecost and I have heard others describe this feast in a similar way “no man knows the day or the hour” that the idiom also applies here because of the wide and divergent opinions out there in interpretations. Some think that there has to be a regular Sabbath in between Passover and Firstfruits some do not. Some think the day count is 49 days plus one is 50, others interpret that to mean count 49 days plus 50 totaling 99 days. And then others just peg it to the 15th day of the 3rd month - who is right? Only God knows. But the good news is we have many opportunities to find out this year. What I keep thinking of lately is Tender Reed’s thesis that we will get some kind of warning and if the rapture is indeed scheduled on Pentecost, whenever the correct day is, I wonder if consistent with scripture and the pattern of Pentecost if we will receive a three day warning even as Israel did before they met with God on the first Pentecost. This would seem to be consistent with that scriptural pattern anyway. “Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes. And let them be ready for the third day. For on the third day the Lord will come down upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people. So Moses went down from the mountain to the people and sanctified the people, and they washed their clothes. And he said to the people, “Be ready for the third day; do not come near your wives.”” So what I wonder is if that no man knows the day or hour thing might apply up until only 3 days before and then we will be given marching orders? But then again maybe not maybe we will just have to wait and see. Time alone will tell, one thing is for sure its going to be an exiting few weeks coming up! Well, since we are correcting posts, I meant to also add that there is also the Islamic prophesy that Israel will cease to exist. I have seen different dates on this. Some say in 2022, some say by June 2022, and I think I saw one that said by July 8. Not that an Islamic prophesy has any merit, but it could entice them to act. I agree Blue, it should definitely be added into the mix because whether it is true Biblical prophesy or not, the fact remains that they believe it and yes, this could cause it to become a self-fulfilling prophecy for them and bears watching, very true, thanks for sharing. :good:
