Regina, saw that! He was talking about the state of CA as things are opening for them, except a few things like churches. So it begs the question, at what point do we defy government and obey God? :prayer-hands: thats a very good question Tammie. we know if government were to order us to do something that is directly against God, not to obey. what is happening here in Canada and the US has been confusing to me in that a policy is not the same as legislation. maybe there was no "law" not to meet but suggested guidelines? have there been false arrests, or arrests based on law? no governor has the authority to overthrow the US Constitution. pastor jack hibbs talks about when its time for the church to obey God rather than man. sorry, i have not figured out how to post a video, so here is a link to his message today, May 8 I'm trying 2 links, maybe one will be a video! Regina, I watched Jack’s updated video posted today, it was great! In VA we were told we could open on May 17 as of today for half congregations. As my husband is the senior pastor and we have a smaller congregation, it won’t be a problem.... but facing the reality of what this means, is unbelievable.
Having been to Belarus and actually met and taught Pastors who had been imprisoned by the communist party prior to perestroika and to hear their stories, was very humbling. It brought back memories of what they have endured for the faith and in many countries what believers endure even now. In China and Muslims, they are shot, whole families. Or children are taken and parents are shot, some tortured first.
We need to be in consistent prayer while we are under “stay at home” reaching to heaven with fragrant aroma before the throne. As JD mentioned in his Thursday teaching, we can’t go back to what it was and I would agree, this has changed us forever. This earth is NOT our home, we need to board that Yahweh flt 777 - tickets bought, passport in soul, packed, ready to go! Never a line! :prayer-hands:
