Much of the latest teachings of Church is founded on the premise that all things in the Old Testament have been done away with.  Universal and constant declarations of God somehow are swept away.  Some 6 thousand years of God's dealings with mankind suddenly become void!

The newest gospel being preached is the one that declares only the truths of the New Testament are now valid!  We as believers have N.T. rights that are to be insisted upon, and hold God accountable.  Really?!

I am told that 70% of church's still believe in replacement theology.  This movement then morphed into Kingdom Now theology, and morphed again into what is being taught today.  And replacement theology couldn't be any further from the truth of God's heart!

Years ago, when Church promises of plenty and health were not realized, the immediate response was to blame the saints.  IE: Your not healed cause you have sin in your life.  Your not healed because you don't have enough faith, etc!

Now the mantra is that the saints have been stupid for six thousand years and only N.T. prophets of today have the complete and full understanding of the scriptures and how to appropriate them.

This new mantra also teaches that the Gospel of Salvation is not enough?!  There is then great emphasis placed on the gospel of the "kingdom".which could entail whatever meaning is convenient!

And with all this newfound knowledge and understanding, many of the saints are still in want.

Because of this approach to the things of God and His heart, many sacred cows have been birthed!  The Church is filled with them.  We've gone from wandering sheep, to a herd of cattle on the stampede.

Though the administrations of God change through time, His heart has never changed!

I have never claimed to be a prophet, nor will I!  But truly some of these teachings which are lacking in the wisdom of God, are more than obvious filled with great errors, IMHO!

What say you???

The New Testament is filled with quoted references to the Old Testament.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.  Matthew 24:14

The context is that the good news of the coming of Jesus to rule and reign will be preached prior to the mid-point of Daniel's 70th week, which Jesus defines as "the end."  The good news we are to take to the ends of the earth is that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  And yes, that Jesus is coming back.

But it looks as if the phrase "Gospel of the Kingdom" is being appropriated by the Kingdom Now Dominionists.  It is not being used in the sense Jesus was talking about.

If you switch a label, you might fool some people into buying a thing that is misrepresented.  Always check the ingredients first.

Context! Context indeed brother!  The mentality of switching labels speaks poorly to those that don't know the Word of the Lord. Or for those who are desperately looking for relief in the flesh, God bless those who suffer.

The Beatitudes are also filled with promises, most of which shall be filled in the next life however.

Truly the gospel of Salvation is to be preached without end, and not as a far second to the Kingdom gospel as some maintain!

Skewed context also mistakenly appropriates a plethora of general promises made by God and teaches that a personal and immediate  fulfillment is inferred!  This misappropriation by teachers is bedrock to the latest wave or fad of teaching!

As such many lambs are led as like unto slaughter! IMHO.

Rather than finding the faith in God to sustain us through difficult times, that focus is shifted to an immediate fulfillment.  Pick and choose your blessings and make it abundantly clear you want them now, in this life!

Seems to me that empty promises of the Church in years gone by is what has led many to give up on Church.

For those who flaunt and demand the promises of scripture, I like to remind them that one of the first promises God made.  It is appointed once unto every man to die the first death! And for six thousand years, has never been rescinded.  Except the Rapture being the only exception!

Speaking of Old vs New,  I for one am grateful that this realm we now live in shall not be eternal.  Living here as opposed to Heaven seems to me to be a no brainer.  But how many would rather forego Heaven to remain here on Earth?!

Even for those that have been made aware of the Blessed Hope of His return to usher us into eternal glories, has seemed to have lost it's savor with many!

Perhaps old age and the fact that many are afflictions of the righteous, God uses these to motivate us to desire Heaven rather than Earth?!  Lest we forget, what awaits us in Glory!
