To those at the bottom of America’s economic pyramid, it feels like the economy has already collapsed. When you can’t afford to put a roof over your head and you barely have enough food to eat, nothing else really matters. During the Great Depression of the 1930s, millions of homeless Americans created large shantytowns known as “Hoovervilles” all over America. Unfortunately, we are witnessing the same thing today. Our homeless population is rapidly exploding, and those that have nowhere to live are creating shelters for themselves out of wood, cardboard boxes, tents, tarps, construction materials and whatever else they can find. In some cases, very large shantytown communities are being established, and they are primarily populated by our young adults… During the Great Depression (1929 to 1933), 48 percent of the nation was homeless, living with relatives or in “shantytowns,” “Hoovervilles.” Today, between 47 and 52 percent of young adults are homeless, living with parents or shelters, a direct result of Biden’s radical overspending, energy and immigration policies, inflation, and high interest, turning America into a giant “Bidenville.” One “Bidenville” that has been getting a lot of attention recently is located in Oakland, California. A video of that “Bidenville” that was posted on social media on May 31st shows “massive temporary houses built along service roads”… Shocking footage has emerged showing a gigantic ‘shantytown’ that has sprung up in Oakland, as the California city’s slide into crime-ravaged squalor continues. Michael Oxford, the host of CaliBased, posted a video on May 31 of massive temporary houses built along service roads that open up into main roads in Hooverville, Oakland. The footage showed trash strewn around scores of houses that were built of wood, tarp and other discarded materials. I write about this stuff all the time, but it is still hard to believe that so many people are living in third-world conditions in the United States of America in 2024. The man that shot the video, Michael Oxford, used the term “absolute squalor” to describe the conditions that he witnessed… If you live in “wealthy America”, you may never even drive into areas where people are living like this. Your reality may be filled with tree-lined streets and rich people sipping coffee. But in the worst areas of Oakland, the lawlessness never ends. In fact, authorities in Oakland recently removed traffic lights at one major intersection and replaced them with stop signs because thieves were constantly stealing copper wire from the electrical boxes… If you want someone to blame for this mess, you can blame the politicians in Washington. Thanks to the horrific inflation that they have created, approximately a quarter of the population in California is either living in poverty or is very close to living in poverty… Sadly, this is just the beginning, because our economy is going downhill really fast. In May, pending home sales plunged to a depressingly low level… ... Zero Hedge reported that the Chicago PMI index fell so low in May that it suggested that “the economy is in a depression”… When people have nothing left to lose, they become very desperate, and very desperate people do very desperate things. Once upon a time, America was a Christian nation. I know that many on the left cringe when they read a statement like that, but it is true. For most of our history, the population of the United States was overwhelmingly Christian, and the values that governed our society were primarily Christian values. But of course everything has changed in recent decades. When Barack Obama boldly declared that “we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation” in 2009, he was speaking the truth. We are no longer a Christian nation and we haven’t been for a very long time. So if we aren’t a Christian nation at this point, what exactly are we? About 64% of Americans call themselves Christian today. That might sound like a lot, but 50 years ago that number was 90%, according to a 2020 Pew Research Center study. That same survey said the Christian majority in the US may disappear by 2070. If nearly two-thirds of your people consider themselves to be “Christians”, that would seem to indicate that you are a Christian nation. But we obviously aren’t. Just look around. Many of the signs and symbols and messages that we see all around us are overtly anti-Christian. Ultimately, there are lots of Americans that still identify themselves as “Christians” even though they have completely abandoned everything that Christianity represents. Joe Biden is a perfect example. He says that he is a “Christian” and he attends church regularly. But then the rest of the time he is working very hard against virtually everything that the Bible teaches. Of course, he is far from alone. According to George Barna, 6 percent of Americans had a “biblical worldview” in 2020, and by 2023 that figure had dropped to just 4 percent… I think that the term “world citizen” perfectly describes most people these days. Sadly, on at least some level the vast majority of the population has embraced the new values that are constantly being pushed on us by the Western elite. And this is clearly showing up in the poll numbers. Survey after survey has shown that close to two-thirds of the U.S. population disapproves of the Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade. That doesn’t make any sense at all. According to a Gallup survey that was conducted last year, 71 percent of the population approves of gay marriage, and a Gallup survey that was conducted earlier this year discovered that 22.3 percent of Generation Z adults now identify as LGBTQ+… Jesus said that you would know a tree by the fruit that it produces. Needless to say, the fruit that America is producing is not Christian fruit. In fact, most of the fruit that America is producing is the kind of fruit that we would expect from an anti-Christ nation. NATO is drawing up plans to send American troops to the frontlines of Europe in the event of an all-out conflict with Russia, it has been revealed New ‘land corridors’ are being carved out to quickly funnel soldiers through central Europe without local bureaucratic impediments, allowing NATO forces to pounce in an instant should Putin’s devastating war in Ukraine move further west. The plans are said to include contingencies in case of Russian bombardment, letting troops sweep into the Balkans via corridors in Italy, Greece and Turkey, or towards Russia’s northern border via Scandinavia. Reports from last year have indicated that the alliance could provide “300,000 troops at high readiness” in the event of a war with Russia. Since the United States bears up to 70% of the total defense spending of all the countries in the NATO alliance, one can be sure they will provide a majority of these forces. Last week Joe Biden gave Ukraine permission to carry out missile strikes inside Russia using US weapons. In early May, Russian air strikes and missiles disrupted the thermal power plants in Ukraine to such a degree that it took the country to the brink in terms of power generation. And now, roughly a month later, another large-scale, deadly wave of attacks is targeting the remainder of the energy infrastructure, notably attacking hydroelectric facilities. This has led to Ukraine imposing emergency power shutdowns in all but three regions of the country. Power grid operator Ukrenergo says the shutdowns are affecting both industrial and household consumers. Associated Press reported: “Sustained Russian attacks on Ukraine’s power grid in recent weeks have forced the government to institute nationwide rolling blackouts. Without adequate air defenses to counter assaults and allow for repairs, though, the shortages could still worsen as need spikes in late summer and the bitter-cold winter. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has reported that nearly 100 fire hydrants have been stolen in the county this year. Authorities reported 85 fire hydrants have been stolen in unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County, and another 14 were stolen in Lynwood. No arrests were reported for the string of thefts, but the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the thefts. The Golden State Water Company general manager, Kate Nutting, said the hydrants are made of brass and iron. The United Methodist Church (UMC) lost more than a million members in one fell swoop last week, with a large West African conference voting to leave the organization due to its acceptance of LGBT clergy and marriages. The United Methodist Church of Ivory Coast (Eglise Méthodiste Unie Côte d’Ivoire or EMUCI) renounced their UMC membership on May 28 “for reasons of conscience before God and His word,” La Croix International reported. After holding UMC membership since 2008, EMUCI said the church “deviates from the Holy Scriptures” and prefers “to sacrifice its honor and integrity to honor the LGBTQ community.” EMCUI’s decision comes in response to the U.S.-based UMC’s vote in May to repeal the decades-long ban on LGBT clergy and marriages, which sparked a mass exit of congregations around the world. The UMC’s decision passed 692-51 at its general conference in Charlotte, North Carolina, NPR reported. More than 4,000 congregations exited the UMC in just the first six months of 2023 over its embrace of LGBTQ+ ideology, Breitbart News reported. As the organization continues to hemorrhage members, the Korean Methodist Church — which has about 1.5 million members — is also considering leaving, the Christian Post reported Monday. “Homosexuality cannot be accepted until the Lord returns. This is not an emotional issue but a matter of unchangeable truth. Homosexuality is clearly a sin,” a coalition of Korean Methodists said in a statement. Dutch populist leader Geert Wilders declared his Party for Freedom was the “biggest winner” in the country’s EU Parliament elections on Thursday as exit polls predict massive gains for the anti-mass migration party. The Dutch politician also said that the large vote share received by his party will likely be replicated by other anti-mass migration parties throughout Europe as they head to the polls this week, saying: “You will see that the Eurosceptical voice will grow and become stronger within the European Parliament… And that is of course very good news. A signal to the elites in Brussels that things will change.” Thursday evening also saw success for the upstart Farmer Citizen-Movement (BBB) party, which is projected to have beaten out multiple parties to win at least two seats in the EU Parliament. Despite having only been formed in 2019, the tractor protest party is building a history of success, having won a stunning upset last year in the provincial elections to become the largest party in the Dutch Senate on the heels of an outpouring of anger at the green agenda of Brussels ... Commenting on Thursday’s results, BBB leader Caroline van der Plas said: “I’m so happy, so happy! European elections are far away for many people, but you can see from the turnout that people thought: we just have to get in.” Just days before Germany and the rest of the Europe votes on the next European Parliament, the migrant stabbing of a right-wing activist shocked the country, apparently bouncing the government into suddenly announcing a deportation plan for extremists. An Afghan migrant launched a mass knife attack on a right-wing political event in the city of Mannheim, Germany last week. Several people were stabbed including a veteran anti-Islamification campaigner, and a police officer responding to the attack was killed. The attack came just days before Germany — and many other European states — is due to vote in a major European election, and the anti-mass migration right having their point so brutally underlined appears to have seriously alarmed the progressive coalition government. Germany has been looking into being able to deport unwanted migrants back to Afghanistan for months, but last week’s terror attack seems to have brought the matter crashing to a head, with Chancellor Olaf Scholz now promising to deport migrants guilty of serious crimes, and those immigrants that may celebrate or glorify terrorist attacks. Germany’s Die Welt reports Sahra Wagenknecht, formerly of the hard-left Die Linke (‘The Left’) party... said, speaking to Welt: “I find it scandalous that someone who has no protection status, no right to asylum, stays in our country for over ten years… We basically financed his radicalization as well.
