Biden Regime Is Shooting Cows From Helicopters In New Mexico:

A judge last Wednesday gave the U.S. Forest Service a green light to gun down approximately 150 “unauthorized” cattle from helicopters over a rugged forest in southwestern New Mexico known as the Gila Wilderness.

The judge argued he did “not see a legal prohibition on the operation” and “it would be contrary to the public interest to stop the operation from proceeding.”  Officials closed a large swath of the forest Monday and began the cow slaughter on Thursday. The killing will continue thru Sunday.

Ranchers had sought a delay, pointing out that the culling violated federal regulations and amounted to animal cruelty. They also say the federal government is not telling the truth about the cattle in question.

Property Rights Committee Chair Shad Sullivan says the “cattle in question are descendants of herds that legally grazed on rancher-owned allotments decades ago,” and “estrays may have intermingled with adjacent allotment owners branded and tagged cattle, proving they are domestic livestock,” contrary to the Forest Service’s claim the cattle are “feral.” Sullivan also noted that a fire last year “destroyed over 30 miles of fencing near the aerial gunning operation area.”

He added that the results of last year’s chopper hunt “were in some cases considered grotesque, as some cattle were shot but were not killed,” “calves were left motherless, and mature cattle received injuries that prolonged suffering, leading to an inevitable death and leaving carcasses strewn about the land and in waterways.”

Beyond the cruelty Sullivan accused the U.S. Forest Service of employing, he said a larger issue “may be the unchecked power by unelected bureaucrats within governmental agencies setting a precedent for how federal officials handle authority” and the fact that area cattle ranchers are “contending that the USFS isn’t abiding by its own regulations.”

Sullivan further cited “pressure from environmental groups” as weighing on the Forest Service’s decision to use helicopter hunters to put down the cattle.

Just a reminder, U.S. taxpayer money is being used to fund this animal cruelty. Yet there is not a peep from so-called major “animal welfare” groups such as PETA.

Sugar substitute linked to heart attacks, stroke, death; 'stay away,' lead researcher advises:

Erythritol, a popular zero-calorie sugar substitute, has been linked to blood clotting, stroke, heart attack, and death, according to a study published online in Nature Medicine journal Monday.

The study found that people already at risk for heart disease had double the likelihood of having a heart attack or a stroke if they had the highest level of erythritol in their blood, CNN reported.  "It's on par with the strongest of cardiac risk factors, like diabetes," Hazen told CNN. Hazen was referring to people who had blood levels of erythritol in the top 25% of the study group.

The bulk sweetener appears in a number of products, including branded sweeteners like Truvia, products marketed for "keto" diets, and reduced-sugar products marketed to people who have diabetes.

Truvia is marketed as a natural product because of its origins in the stevia plant, but it is removed from its roots by several refinements. It also has added ingredients, including erythritol (a sugar alcohol) and natural flavoring.

Japan won't rule out sending aid to North Korea in return for abductees:

Japan will not rule out the possibility of providing humanitarian aid to North Korea if the move is judged to be effective in negotiating the return of all of its citizens who were abducted by Pyongyang in the 1970s and 1980s, the top government spokesman said Monday.

Many of the abductees and their family members have grown old since the victims were kidnapped by North Korea decades ago.

The groups said their members would visit the United States in May to call on the administration of U.S. President Joe Biden to lend support for the realization of a summit between Japan and North Korea.

Chick-fil-A Rolls Out New Rule After Out-of-Control Behavior at Restaurant:

A Pennsylvania Chick-fil-A has laid down the law after disruptive behavior from young customers reached the breaking point.

“[T]o dine in our restaurant, anyone under the age of 16 is required to be accompanied by an adult. If not accompanied by an adult, they may come in to purchase food, but must take it to go,” the Chick-fil-A in Royersford, Pennsylvania, posted Wednesday on Facebook.

The post shared a litany of problems experienced on Saturdays and days when students are not in school, which are days children and teens come to the restaurant without their parents.

“Volume. They are loud, and their conversation often contains a lot of explicit language. We are a family friendly restaurant where this is not tolerated,” the post said.

“Mistreatment of property. Food and trash are often thrown around and left on the tables, chairs, and on the floor. Tables and restrooms are vandalized. Decorations are stolen,” the post said.

“Employees are laughed at, made fun of and treated rudely. Employees are cursed at and ignored when they ask the children and teens to either change their behavior or leave,” the post said, adding that  “Unsafe behaviors also occur walking through the parking lot and drive-thru lanes.”

“You know a culture is in serious decline when a local Chick-Fil-A has to beg parents to require their children to act in a way that is compatible with the basic decency required in a functioning society. This reads like a homily on the fall of Western civilization,” Twitter user Megan Brock posted.

“In previous generations, 16-year-olds lied about their age so they could go to war on behalf of their county. Now they can’t be trusted to eat at a Chick-Fil-A without an adult. How far we have fallen,” she posted.
