American's do the best coffee. Neither Europe nor Australia know how to make it. Espresso is what they consider coffee to be.

MAUI BURNING: People Flee Into Ocean to Escape Wildfires – Historic Lahaina Town Destroyed (VIDEO):

Wildfires in Maui destroyed ‘Front Street’ in historic Lahaina.

According to authorities, people jumped into the ocean to escape the fire and smoke.  No word on injuries at this time.  Strong winds are fueling the blaze.  Residents evacuated West Maui early Wednesday.

Eyewitnesses described the scene as ‘apocalyptic.’

Residents say an overwhelmed fire force — fighting flames all day amid powerful winds — could do little as flames ripped through the historic community, destroying dozens of homes and businesses in what onlookers believe is the worst natural disaster in Hawaii’s history since Hurricane Iniki.

My thought Patricia as I saw this earlier today, these fires appear to be set as it's burning on the main island, and two others! That is too strange.

Hi Kolleen,  Possibly so.  Remember those fires recently in Canada that all started at about the same time?  I heard rumors that they were arson.

Lahaina was my favorite place in the world.  So sorry to see that it's gone.  There were heavy winds from Hurricane Dora that they said may have downed power lines and sparked fires.

My daughter and her family were there just last week.  Wish we would have gone with them to see it one last time.

Just so much disaster going on almost daily! If the fires weren't set - maybe the hurricane was through weather engineering! It's all abnormal. The point is, wake up! More than politics - it is the time to look up and be saved!

I am sorry for the loss of the island front that you loved. It must have been a beautiful place to be. I think God's beauty awaiting us in heaven, will be beyond our imagination with what we knew here.

It's unbelievable that the local sirens never sounded to warn the island people!?

But they're "looking in to it!"

A day after I mentioned weather engineering as the likely culprit, I saw a headline saying something similar from Epoch news. I could not read their article for not having signed up with their newsite.
