Bwahahahaha … never a dull moment at your work.

Looks like they all need the ID-10t forms … Tammie your dept should invest in these Halloween Masks - called [the KAREN] can you just picture someone on your staff wearing this mask when completing the idiot forms for all the wacko complainers?   :mdrmdr:

Indeed, special blessings for all who patiently exhibit kindness and mercy!

Neither of those are my strong traits!

So true story — decades ago, there was a patient in the ICU, who was going to be liberated from the ventilator. Apparently, as she was waking up, a workman was in the room doing some ceiling repairs, as the story goes, he had in those red contacts and facial piercings - so when she saw that, she freaked out and they had to put her back under sedation until he finished the repairs. Staff had to be present when they woke her up again … bet she thought she was waking up in the wrong place - wasn’t funny then, but is now, so many years later ….

If I had time, I would write a book on the funny things that happen in a hospital, it would be a best seller for sure.

FYI - Geri - I don’t have just one department, I have the whole enchilada  What keeps me up at night? The whole facility 24/7 —- :calvin Trust me when I say, The Father cannot call us home none too soon in my opinion …. the heat index is 100 degrees today and everyone is coming out of the woodwork looking for cooler climates in our ED and anywhere they can “sneak” in …. Something to be said for keeping hospitals locked for a year :mdrmdr: :calvin  staff felt a lot safer then 😉

I got the same problem … but you will be very surprised how the Lord will use you to reach the mean spirited lost.  The Lord surprised me 3 days ago … He had me witnessing to the neighbor that tried to run over my dog a few weeks ago.  I never thought in million years I would get an opportunity to witness to him.  But the Lord paved the way while he was walking his dog.   The guy is moving and is the treasurer so I approached him to ask when his last day was and who will be taken over his job.  Then he brought up the high cost of things … and I said yep, you need to be stocking up on non- perishable food because great famine is coming in 2022 and beyond.  This world is toast … the church age we are in right now is ending and the tribulation horrors are coming.  But good news … you can escape all this if you recognize you’re a sinner and need a Savior.  And the only Savior in the world is Jesus Christ.  He came and suffered on the cross and with His shed blood our sins will be wiped away.  He said I know, I’m Catholic.  I said being Catholic means nothing.  I used to be Catholic and was trusting in good works and being infant baptized and praying the Hail Mary’s.   None of this will save a person … instead you pray directly to Jesus asking Him for forgiveness of your sins and for Him to be your Lord and Savior.  Once you do that … you’re saved and heaven bound.  The rapture is going to happen soon and Jesus is going to snatch out ONLY those who have done this … that is His true church and will remove His true church from the horrors that are coming on the earth.  He didn’t say much after that.  So at least I planted the seed … maybe he will remember that conversation?   The Holy Spirit does the rest …

Lord — grow that seed that Geri planted now — open his eyes to the truth of the gospel and lead him to your saving mercy! In Jesus name and for the glory of the Father! :prayer-hands:

What a beautiful example you are Geri. You seem to take every opportunity to be a bold witness for the Lord.

Well … normally I’m happy to share my faith but I have to be honest in this incident … all I kept thinking was … he tried to murder my dog!  So my heart wasn’t really into witnessing to him … I was more of a Jonah in this case when presenting him with the Truth and the Way to eternal life.  The Holy Spirit totally took over and used me in spite of my anger towards that guy.  So this is just proof that the Lord can use us despite of our “attitudes”.  The Lord gets the glory, if this guy does get saved.  I don’t expect any “well done”.   The irony is I rarely talk about the rapture when witnessing … I try to keep it simple with just the Gospel only … because after all … if they get saved … then they are rapture ready whether they know about the event or not.

Oh that is kind of you to say, Denis.  I was just trying to make a point that the Lord can still use us no matter how we feel.  I learned that lesson that day.
