Okay. Thanks again Geri. :mail: Anyone else want to weigh in? I.e., weigh in concerning Dr Woods' YouTube above at markers 9:00 to 10:30...? Before and after too... Both of those chapters in my opinion can be entirely about the Jews and Israel. The only verses that throw me off are the verses that talk about the suddenness and surprise catching them unaware as they are going about normal daily life....planting, eating, drinking, marrying etc.....now this could also be talking to the Jews and they are caught unaware when the Rapture happens before the start of the trib, but it just doesn't seem like they would be caught totally by surprise at the second coming since the 144K Jews have been preaching, the angels preaching in the air, the 2 witnesses who preach for 3.5 years....and also including all the global devastation from the judgments from the trib. When looking at how progressively horrible it will be....I just can't imagine that anyone would be surprised at the end of the trib with the return of Jesus, or that any kind of normal life would be going on, especially weddings when it's dark all the time  Andy Woods and Jack Hibbs are my two favorite pastors, and both hold that the church is not in these chapters at all. I understand some of the arguments on each side, but I lean towards Jesus answering the questions He was asked here, just not necessarily in order. Contrary to what some may think, viewing the one taken, one left as the Rapture does not invalidate the pre-trib view. I too struggle with the sense of normalcy going on in that passage. I don't think there's any way that can describe events at the end of the trib. And no man knows the day or hour... well, Daniel gave a number of days after the AOD. People have tried to explain that away by darkness covering the land and not knowing what day it us, but I think that's a weak argument. Then there was this article: https://www.raptureready.com/2022/02/06/the-paralambano-of-matthew-2440-41-luke-1734-36-by-mark-a-becker/ I don't know Greek, but the case made here seems persuasive. So I'm not sold either way, but leaning. I think we may find out soon, and whichever way is correct won't make much difference to me -- it doesn't change my beliefs or very clouded understanding of the big picture. Thank you Churchgal. :rose:
