I just looked up the percentage and Wikipedia, etc. all say 1.5%. It was not that high before but in recent years, it has become a fad to have Christian weddings, so the numbers may be skewed. Even the Japanese folks I know here, although they do not seem religious at all, if pressed will say that they loosely follow both the Shinto and Buddhist beliefs. But the people are generally polite and kind. I am always praying for Japan.
