Regina kind of nailed it for me. I think JD is correct in a way and so is Amir. This is the beginning of what will split Jerusalem. It may also mean less death and turmoil for the Jewish people, for a time. I don't think Amir is arguing that it is good in the long run, he is saying that this isn't the AC signing the peace treaty and starting the Trib. JD is seeing what will happen in the near future. Both are correct.

As far as Steve Berger, I had heard his name but never watched him. I read some excerpts from his book about his son appearing in dreams to him and his wife and their friends, suggesting that the son is appearing in multiple dreams to people and giving them info about heaven, while pushing them towards Jesus Christ. They say that it has strengthened their faith more than the Biblical prophets, if I was reading it correctly. Talk about a heart wrenching judgment call....they lost their son tragically and they want to believe that they are being visited by him from heaven. There isn't anything scripturally that supports visitations from those in heaven. Could it be that they are dreaming what they want to believe, and in turn, their friends are also dreaming about him due to that inspiration?

No real idea. I know I had dreams about my mom when she went to heaven, still do at times. Some good, some terrifying.

In my estimation, if they believe that Jesus died for them, and they are placing their faith for salvation in His sacrifice and resurrection alone, they are saved. They may be deceived by their emotions. The real issue with that is, if this is true about their son, why aren't all of our relatives in heaven coming to us in dreams and telling us how awesome it is? COULD God allow it? I guess, but Scripture says nothing about it, and specifically tells us not to attempt to contact the dead.

Seems like it is something that likely should have been kept to their own private lives and not written down and sold in a book, at the very least.

At the end of the day, it is all about who our faith is in, I suppose.

Bsfc321, we are saved by God's grace alone, through faith in Jesus alone, not by works lest any man should boast.

thanks to God forever for that.

Angel's and demons already enjoy an eternal state!  Unlike humans who entertain temporary housing!

As such it stands to reason they are well familiar with any human beings life!  And fully capable of imitating them!

As we are warned of Satan appearing as an angel of light!  They are truly interdimensional.  Having access to spiritual and earthly realms!

Whether they appear as Angel's,  ET's or your grandmother!

God allowed Samuel the prophet to be raised as proof of man's eternal spirit!  After this none other human has returned to Earth!!!

Many seek residence in Heaven not for Christ's sake,  but for a dear departed soul and even pet!

Emotionally we create Heaven in our likeness often times!  And Satan knows this!

Well,  Steve Berger apparently is part of the New Apostolic Reformation crowd.  That in itself isn't good.  Plus,  if this book he wrote is advocating for speaking with the dead,  I don't care how well meaning or sincere the pastor is.  That's just plain wrong.

If,  I am proven to have been wrong about these things,  I will issue a sincere apology.

I went on a little research about this! I came across a website called Harpazo Forum! This forum picks every Pastor apart! There is a very judgmental demon going around, causing division and animosity between the brethren! I don’t agree with Pastor Gerber and co. It truly is an abomination to the Lord to contact through whatever medium anything dead or use the help of the occult for revelation! It’s called witchcraft and it is alive and well in a lot of churches! But I refuse to be mean about anything anymore! And I agree, they should have been silent about this! No need to create a false doctrine! Pastor JD is right! Satanic division amongst the brethren! :negative:

God first, God only, Praying for one another, encouraging one another, United to spread the Gospel of our salvation in Jesus Christ -

Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”

John 13:35 “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”

Division, hatred, discontent does not come from God :prayer-hands:

I have heard for years that many cultic, satanic and deviant types have long infiltrated churches!

Sadly, many pastors and theologians have been comprimised!  Again, many pastors and churches are simply spiritually asleep.  As like Peter, James and John were found by Christ in the garden!

I agree about unity and JD Farag’s message hit home for me. I feel hypocritical about bringing up Steve Berger in this thread. I personally loathe all the (insert Christian name here) EXPOSED! videos on the internet. 🙁

I am not sure how to proceed.

I believe Rapture Ready’s approach is the correct one:

https://www.raptureready.com/2019/05/02/steve-berger-call-discernment-accountability-alice-childs/

Please read it and let me know if I am off base here. I want to be accountable to this forum and to God.

It is a tough deal! I still believe we need to discern all of those things and it is not easy! What is the middle road in this? Sigh! Maybe this Pastor should have been counseled privately. Maybe Chuck Missler never read the book! He is with the Lord now for 2 years I think. Calvary Chapel has been under the microscope for a while now by certain observers! I listend to Dr. Andy Woods today and he pointed out Amy Grant and somebody else for cheering for Ginsburg in a tweet! He called it virtual signaling and she is apparently part of the religious left! Oy!
