Its sad to hear of the (falling away) departure of the faith of those who claimed to be Christians.  I find it hard to believe that a true Christian would deny Jesus because that person would have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of them.  Once you become born again you can’t undo that.   So my take is these were pretenders who probably experienced an emotional high at one time and then wanted to fleece the sheep with selling their craft of hit songs, books, etc.  Their actions is causing confusion.  I Cor. 13:33 says “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”   So its a given the author of confusion is the devil himself working overtime in these last days to deceive and to cause sadness within the church.

We need to cheer up and not let the falling away/departure of the faith crowd get us down because from reading this passage ... it looks like the falling away is the last sign that happens before the AC gets revealed.  So soon very soon ... we will see Jesus in the clouds to take us home! :yahoo:

2 Thess 2: 1-8

1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

Indeed those that endure till the very end shall be saved.  Seemingly some have forsaken their marriage vow to the Lord!  It happens, I guess.
