From Amir Tsarfati:

"Last night (between December 15 and 16) targets were attacked from the air in Syria. According to various reports, the attack took place in the area of Damascus Airport and in the southern Syrian region, in Shabha, near Suwayda, where an anti-aircraft battery was attacked."

P.S.  Amir recently lost his father, Shmayah Tsarfati.  Amir posted a photo of himself wearing a torn shirt saying, "The mourning ritual of tearing the shirt…"

May Amir walk in the Lord's light and be blinded by His mercies!

I recently found this in Amir's newsletter that comes to my e-mail:

Shalom from Israel! I would like to begin by thanking the thousands of you who have been praying for me and my family after the passing of my father. Your messages of support and encouragement have been a true blessing.

Shmayah Tsarfati was born on December 20, 1940 and he died just after midnight on Tuesday, six days shy of his 81st birthday. My father’s family is originally from France – hence, “Tsarfati”, which means “French” in Hebrew. His family migrated to Lisbon, Portugal, where they settled. In 1497, five years after Kind Ferdinand and Queen Isabella expelled all the Jews from Spain, King Manuel I did the same to all the Jews in Portugal. My father’s family fled to Tunisia.

It was from Tunisia, centuries later, that a ten-year-old Orthodox Jewish boy left his parents behind and made aliyah to Israel. That child was my father, and I am part of the first generation of my family that was born back in the land – in Jerusalem. I thank my father for making that bold move to Israel, alone and at such a young age.

According to Jewish rituals, he was buried the same day and I am now sitting Siv’a, which is seven days of mourning. During this time, I will do what I can to keep you up with the news, while still tending to my family.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Oh I am so sorry, praying for Amir and his family.

Nowhere did I see that Amir's dad was with the Lord now. 🙁
