Zelensky Hails Israel’s Top Court for Allowing Visa Exemption for Ukrainians Fleeing War: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday hailed Israel’s High Court decision to cancel its quota on non-Jewish Ukrainian refugees, in opposition to the government’s position. “I commend the decision of the Supreme Court of the State of Israel, which obliges the government of Israel to abolish any additional restrictions on the entry of citizens of Ukraine.” Zelensky tweeted. Ukrainian citizens can now enter as they had prior to the war — without a visa, which was first waived for tourism purposes only. Temple Mount: Israeli Police Arrest Jordanian Wakf Guards: In an unusual show of force on the Temple Mount, Israeli police arrested two Wakf guards on Sunday. The Jordanian Wakf are ushers employed by the Hashemite Kingdom to preserve the Temple Mount. However, their presence on the Holy Site is seen by Jews as nothing more than a nuisance as they can often be seen wrestling for control over the area. The Wakf is also at the forefront of most of the riots that take place on the Temple Mount. Jewish worshippers have often criticized Israeli police for being too soft with the Wakf when they intimidate pilgrims in instances that even escalate into violent confrontations. Jewish Temple Mount groups applauded the arrests, including Im Tirtzu, who wrote on a Facebook post: “This is the way it should always be. Not just when these bullies cross the line.” https://www.israel365news.com/271051/temple-mount-israeli-police-arrest-jordanian-wakf-guards/ Starts @ 2:03 - Fair Use - Thank you, this is a major, major escalation Maybe Damascus is next on Israel's hit list Lapid met in Paris on Tuesday with French President Emmanuel Macron, who called on Lapid to revive talks toward peace with the Palestinians and said Israelis are “lucky” to have Lapid in charge. Two-state solution on deck?: Emmanuel Macron is on a tear this week, with a real, old-fashioned ‘barn burner’ of a schedule lately and he seems to be popping up everywhere to talk about everything with just about everyone of any political importance at all. Particularly of note is the meeting he had with interim prime minister of Israel, Yair Lapid, who chose to visit with Macron as his first trip abroad. Kind of tells you who is perceived as having the most influence and power in Europe, don’t you think? Lapid could have met with anyone, he chose Emmanuel Macron who wants to divide Israel to create a Palestinian state. So does Lapid.
