Australia Snubs Israel: Reverses Recognition of Jerusalem as Capital: Australia’s left-wing Labor government has reversed the previous conservative administration’s recognition of west Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Tuesday’s move drew an angry response from the Jewish state and applause from Palestinian activists and the Hamas terrorist organization. Wong told reporters the 2018 decision by the previous conservative coalition leader, Prime Minister Scott Morrison, had “put Australia out of step with the majority of the international community” and was met with concern by Muslim-majority neighbor Indonesia. Israel’s Prime Minister Yair Lapid expressed disappointment in Australia’s changed position, deeming the move a “hasty response,” the Times of Israel reports. “Jerusalem is the eternal and united capital of Israel and nothing will ever change that,” the prime minister said in a statement published by his office. He added as a general rule, Israel did not define the capital cities of other nations, so other countries should not do so for Israel. Meanwhile, the Israeli foreign ministry has summoned the Australian envoy to lodge a formal protest. Reports in Syria: Explosions heard in Damascus following air strike attributed to Israel Israel National news 10/21/22 The reports also said that explosions were heard over the capital, Damascus. The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and Iranian media reported that the air strike was aimed at Iranian targets, including military depots and trucks. There was no immediate information on damages or injuries. Friday’s air strike comes a month after Syria claimed that 5 solders were killed in an Israel attack on the Damascus airport. - Fair Use - Netanyahu Won’t Take Orders From American Congressmen: Benjamin Netanyahu says that if next week’s election brings him back to the Prime Minister’s Office, he won’t be taking direction from Washington on who to include in his coalition. Recently, two US congressmen warned that if Netanyahu were to include far-right lawmaker Itamar Ben Gvir in a future government, it could damage US-Israel relations. On Tuesday, Netanyahu told an ultra-Orthodox Jewish radio station that he will not be dictated to, not even by Israel’s staunchest allies: “We are a democracy and we will decide who will be in the next government. I know how to stand up for us. https://www.israeltoday.co.il/read/netanyahu-wont-take-orders-from-american-congressmen/ Good for him! Sadly, the world does not like politicians with a backbone or any moral compass! Especially in the face of the "spirit of anger" that seems to dominate in the hearts of men today. Whether we speak of "karen's", road rage, intemperate and abusive politicians, despots or gang mentality and lawbreakers, the sense of entitlement or self empowerment has gone awry! Especially when we realize that this "spirit of anger" is fueled by all inclusive hatred! TR So if Bibi wins on Nov 1st … I wonder when he officially starts work as Prime Minister? Is it right away or a few weeks or months later? Is he for the 2 state solution or will he nix it? Then will that mean the United Nations will make sure they announce the 2 state solution before Bibi becomes PM? Amir Tsarfati: The Israeli Air Force (IAF) hit targets inside of Syria overnight on Thursday, marking the third such attack in the last week; Multiple casualties are reported; The strikes have targeted recent Iranian weapon shipments arriving in Damascus. Overnight on Thursday, the IAF hit multiple military targets in and around Syria’s capital city of Damascus. Damascus. Not a place you want to invest your property dollars :calvin . Is Prime Minister Yair Lapid’s Wife a Messianic Jew? Interim Prime Minister Yair Lapid’s wife, Lihi, has a sister who is known to be a Messianic Jew (a Jew who believes in Jesus), as Israel Today previously reported. With elections just days away, that connection to Messianic Judaism is again stirring up Israelis on social media, with some wondering if faith in Jesus extends to the Lapid household. Lihi’s sister, Ilil Keren, faced a media firestorm back in November 2021 after her brother-in-law, who was then foreign minister, appointed her to the board of the Jewish National Fund. While Lapid’s political opponents howled about nepotism, the media, and in particular the ultra-Orthodox media, was heavily focused on Keren’s faith in Jesus. Lapid’s wife and sister-in-law aren’t the only high-profile, government-connected Israelis to speak positively of Jesus in recent years. In 2019, Yair Netanyahu, son of Benjamin Netanyahu, took to Twitter to defend Jesus’ true Jewish heritage when Palestinian activists tried to claim him as one of theirs. And earlier this year, the young Netanyahu highlighted that Easter–which commemorates Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection–is a Jewish affair. He wrote on Twitter in April, "This year Easter and Passover are celebrated on the same day. You might not know it, but the "last supper," was actually the celebration of the "Passover Seder" by Jesus and his disciples (all of whom were Jewish). The supper took place on Mount Zion in Jerusalem." https://www.israeltoday.co.il/read/is-prime-minister-yair-lapids-wife-a-messianic-jew/ Bibi Netanyahu Won the election in Israel!
Syria’s official news agency, SANA reported that ‘the air defense systems were activated against an Israeli attack over the skies of Damascus’.
Another report claimed that one of the targets of the attack was also a Syrian anti-aircraft battery south of Damascus.
Israeli social media is again stirring over the issue after a local Messianic ministry identified Lihi Lapid as a believer in Jesus:
