Trump: U.S. Will Take Over Gaza, ‘We Will Own It’:

President Donald Trump said Tuesday that the U.S. would take over Gaza and remove debris, tunnels, and explosives left there by Hamas after the war with Israel, adding that he saw America taking a “long-term ownership position.”

Trump said: “The US will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it too. We’ll love it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous bombs and other weapons on the site… and get rid of the destroyed buildings [and] create an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing.”

The surprise announcement came as the president spoke alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the first foreign leader to visit Trump since his Inauguration last month.

Trump had previously said that he would like to see most, or all, of the Palestinian population of Gaza moved to another Arab or Muslim country.

The idea of actually taking over Gaza, and establishing a U.S. presence, was both unexpected and completely new.

Trump’s Gaza Plan is “The Final task before Messiah”

Trump announced an entirely unexpected proposal on Tuesday:

“The US will take over the Gaza Strip,” Trump said at a joint press conference. “And we will do a job with it too. We’ll own it.”

“We will be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site, [for] get[ting] rid of the destroyed buildings, level[ing] it out, [and] creat[ing] an economy development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing to the people of the area,” Trump said.

While Palestinians prefer to advance a “victimhood narrative” that paints Gaza as an “open-air prison,” it is an idyllic locale on the Mediterranean Sea. Before the Jewish communities of Gush Katif were forcibly expelled in 2005, the region hosted a thriving agri-industry that exported more than $80,000 of produce every day.

When considering the future of Gaza concerning Israel, it is essential to understand its role in the Bible and prophecy. Gaza appears 18 times in the Hebrew Bible and is listed in Genesis 10:19 as being included in the southern border of the Promised Land. Gaza was, nonetheless, sporadically conquered and occupied by foreigners, including the Assyrians, Philistines, and Egyptians. It was, in fact, one of five Philistine cities on the coastal plain of Israel, remaining as one of the cities that Joshua failed to capture in his lifetime (Joshua 10:41).

Rabbi Yekutiel Fish, a respected mystic rabbi from Jerusalem who authors a Torah blog titled Sod HaChashmal, praised Trump’s plan and predicted that its success was inevitable.

“Trump is a successful man and puts together business deals that no one else could manage,” Rabbi Fish said. “For him, this is a deal that all sides benefit.”

But Rabbi Fish saw Trump’s Gaza plan as part of a bigger picture.

“Everyone is focused on Gaza, but that is only one part of the end-of-days agenda, which has the Jews living in Israel’s prophesied borders,” Rabbi Fish said. “The Torah explicitly includes Gaza. What Trump is doing is cleaning out Gaza of all the haters of Israel. They cannot be in Israel after the Messiah comes. After the Messiah, the only people who can be in the Biblical borders of Israel are those who believe He is One and His name is One. This will include Gaza, half of Lebanon, and much of Jordan.”

And we see that we are almost there. Syria fell. Lebanon is half gone. Gaza is ripped up. The stage is nearly set for Messiah. But how can the Palestinians be here when we go to greet the Messiah? The Messiah needs someone to take care of this, and in this case, it is Donald Trump. Trump is merely carrying out the final tasks needed before Messiah is revealed,” Rabbi Fish said.

Netanyahu: The meeting with Trump - a historic turning point for Israel:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday published a video in which he summarized his visit to Washington, DC, thus far.

"As you know, the day before yesterday, I had an historic meeting with President Trump, which was a great turning point for the future of Israel,” said Netanyahu.

“At this meeting, he also brought up his idea about Gaza, for the day after Hamas, and I think it is worth listening very well to this idea, which is the first original idea to be raised in years.”

“I also spoke with top administration officials, with the Vice President, the National Security Advisor, with Secretary of Defense Hegseth at the Pentagon, all of them great friends of the State of Israel,” Netanyahu continued.

“From there I went to Congress where I met with the heads of the House of Representatives and the Senate, Republicans and Democrats alike, and they all agreed with me on two things: One, that Iran must not have nuclear weapons and two, that Hamas must be eliminated. It cannot be there in Gaza.”

“But they asked me: 'Where does your strength come from? A country that is as small as New Jersey, from where do you get your strength?' I said: 'Our strength comes from our people and from our heroic soldiers, and from our faith and the understanding that we are fighting for thousands of years of Jewish history and for our right to a state of our own in the Middle East, in our historic homeland.'”

“This is the truth – and it will take us very far," concluded Netanyahu.

Defense Minister: 'Countries that criticized Israel must accept Gazan immigrants':

Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Thursday evening that the IDF will prepare a detailed plan that will enable the implementation of President Trump's vision for the immigration of Gazans.

"I have instructed the IDF to prepare a plan to assist them in leaving Gaza, which will help any resident of Gaza who is interested in leaving to anywhere in the world that agrees to accept him. I welcome US President Donald Trump's bold plan that will include exit options at land crossings and special arrangements for travel by sea and air," Katz said at the end of a security assessment on the issue.

He noted that "countries such as Spain, Ireland, Norway, and others, which have made false accusations against Israel because of its activities in Gaza, should be obligated by law to enable all Gazans to immigrate to their country. Their hypocrisy will be exposed if they refuse to do so.

"Hamas used the residents of Gaza as human shields and built terror infrastructures in the heart of civilian populations. Hamas is now holding these people hostage, extorting money from them, while abusing humanitarian aid and preventing them from leaving Gaza. The residents of Gaza must be allowed to enjoy the freedom to exit and emigrate, as is customary everywhere in the world," the Defense Minister said.

Nearly One-Third of Gazans Wanted to Leave — Before the War:

Nearly one-third of Gaza residents wanted to leave before the war, according to survey data published by Itamar Marcus of Palestinian Media Watch in the Jerusalem Post on Monday.

The proportion has almost certainly risen since the start of the war in October 2023, after the Hamas terror attack on Israel.

Marcus wrote:

The question being asked today around the world is whether President Donald Trump’s plan to resettle Gazans in other countries can succeed. Judging by a poll taken just prior to the war, before much of Gaza was destroyed, Trump’s proposal is reasonable.

The poll by the top Palestinian polling agency, the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research, found that a full 44% of Gazan youth between the ages of 18-29 were considering emigrating. Nearly a third (31%) of the entire population considered emigrating.

Gazans’ “most preferred destination for immigration is Turkey, followed by Germany, Canada, the United States, and Qatar,” the poll found.

In addition to proposing that most or all of the current residents of Gaza be resettled elsewhere, President Trump said last week that the U.S. intends to take possession of Gaza — unless an alternative plan can be found.

‘Let Hell Break Out’: Trump Demands Hamas Free ALL Hostages by Saturday Noon or Deal’s Off and Israel Can Fight:

President Donald Trump issued an ultimatum to Hamas on Monday: it must release all of the remaining Israeli and American hostages from Gaza by noon on Saturday, or the ceasefire deal is over — and Israel can respond as it wants.

“All bets are off … let hell break out,” Trump said, speaking to reporters in the Oval Office as he signed executive orders.

...Many Israelis speculated that Hamas had been badly stung by the global reaction to the sight of emaciated Israeli hostages being released on Saturday (the president himself said that they reminded him of Holocaust survivors after the Second World War).

There are 73 hostages still in Gaza, 17 of whom were still slated to be released in the first phase. Not all of them are alive, and dozens would have remained in captivity until a “second phase” of the agreement.

Now, he wants all of them home.

Netanyahu: Hamas Must Return All Hostages by Noon Saturday, or Face ‘Final Defeat’:

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said Tuesday that if Hamas did not release all 73 of the remaining hostages still in Gaza by noon on Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) would resume attacking “until the final defeat of Hamas.”

Netanyahu issued his ultimatum a day after President Donald Trump said that Hamas had until noon on Saturday to release all of the hostages or else he would “let hell break out” and allow Israel to do whatever it wanted to do.

Trump, in turn, was responding to Hamas’s announcement that it was pausing the release of hostages, after the latest hostages to be released shocked the world with their emaciated appearance, drawing global criticism of the group.

Netanyahu, having just returned from a week-long visit to the U.S., issued a statement (translated from Hebrew by the Government Press Office):

I have just finished an in-depth, four-hour Security Cabinet meeting. We all expressed outrage over the shocking state of our three hostages who were released last Saturday.

We all welcomed President Trump’s demand to release our hostages by Saturday noon as well, and we all welcomed the President’s revolutionary vision for the future of Gaza.

In light of Hamas’s announcement regarding its decision to violate the agreement and not release our hostages, last night I instructed the IDF to amass forces inside – and surrounding – the Gaza Strip. This action is being carried out at this hour and will be completed very soon.

The unanimous decision that I passed in the Cabinet is as follows:

If Hamas does not return our hostages by Saturday noon, the ceasefire will end, and the IDF will resume intense fighting until the final defeat of Hamas.
