UPDATE via The Times of Israel: “The IDF confirms it has launched an aerial campaign against Iran’s nuclear program. Dozens of targets across Iran related to the nuclear program and other military facilities are being struck by the Israeli Air Force, it says. The operation is dubbed “Strength of a Lion.” The IDF says Iran has enough enriched uranium to build several bombs within days, and it needs to act against this “imminent threat.” Sirens that sounded across Israel a short while ago were a preemptive warning issued by the IDF, ahead of a possible reaction by Iran.” https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/06/update-israel-bombing-irans-nuclear-sites-explosions-heard/ Amir Tsarfati: Breaking News - Here's What REALLY Happened Iran struck back Friday night after Israel’s massive attack earlier in the day, firing a barrage of ballistic missiles. Most were intercepted by Israel’s air defenses, but a few were seen making impact in Tel Aviv. In one video published on social media, onlookers can be seen watching Israel’s intercepted strike the incoming missiles, before one missile is seen making impact amid skyscrapers in downtown Tel Aviv. Israel’s Army Radio reported shortly after 10:00 p.m. that Iran had fired about 150 missiles, not all of which made it to Israel. Dozens were intercepted, and there were several direct impacts in central Israel. Update: The IDF said that fewer than 100 missiles in total had been launched. Reports on social media indicated that the number of injured had grown to 40, including two who were in critical condition. The Israeli Air Force (IAF) has won complete freedom of operation above Tehran, the Iranian capital, after 36 hours of conflict, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Saturday. The announcement came after Iran said that it had downed at least one IAF fighter jet, which IDF Spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defrin said was untrue. Israel has eliminated most of Iran’s air defenses, and is currently targeting ballistic missile launchers. The fact that the IAF can reach Iran at all is a major achievement. Until the current war, it was presumed that the distance between Israel and Iran was too far, and the nations in between too hostile, to allow Israel to fly over them, land in them, or refuel above them. However, the Abraham Accords have created alliances — both explicit and implicit — between Israel and Sunni Arab states, and the collapse of the Syrian regime earlier this year means that Israel can fly freely on the shortest path to Iran without fear of encountering hostile fire. Iran appears to have underestimated Israel’s will and ability to attack on its own — a fateful miscalculation. In response, Iran has launched hundreds of ballistic missiles at Israel in several waves since Friday evening. Most were intercepted by Israel’s air defenses or allowed to fall in open areas where they were not a threat to human life or to infrastructure. Several missiles made it through Israel’s defense shield — which the IDF has cautioned is not “hermetic” — and hit residential neighborhoods, mostly in central Israel, near Tel Aviv. Three Israelis — all civilians — have been reported killed. Two have been identified; both are elderly people. Some 80 civilians were also injured in missile strikes. Most of the injuries were light, but a few were serious. There is an asymmetry in the attacks on either side: Israel’s manned aircraft are flying to Iran and targeting military and state assets, while Iran is launching poorly-guided missiles from afar at civilian areas in Israel. Every day is a miracle in Israel, but today is one of those especially divine times that everyone living here will remember for the rest of our lives. “This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and celebrate!” The God of Israel enabled His Chosen People to strike back at our mortal enemy, Iran—after decades of a growing threat of nuclear annihilation, years of careful military planning, and months of fearful anticipation since their evil ring of fire began to suffocate us on October 7th, 2023. While ‘Operation Rising Lion’ has only just begun, and many IDF soldiers are bravely fighting in harm’s way—on land, at sea, and in the air—we pray for their safety. So far, the initial strike has been nothing less than historic. Before our very eyes, Israel has once again served as the Mighty Hand and Outstretched Arm of our Heavenly Father, delivering a devastating blow to the Islamic regime. What happened today is extraordinary, and we must take a moment to recognize the unprecedented times we are living in. God is not whispering for our attention—He is shouting! When the leader of the Jewish people, Prime Minister Netanyahu, steps onto the world stage and speaks about the God of Israel, quoting from the Bible in his historic announcement—followed immediately by a spectacular military achievement—you know we are living in Biblical times. So how should we, Bible-believing Jews and Christians, respond? That’s actually quite simple. We have a tradition that tells us to look into the weekly Torah portion to find the most relevant messages. And in this week’s portion, there are three goosebump inducing passages: Once again, this is the first war in Israel’s history in which millions of Christians across the globe are standing up for the People of Israel in recognition of the God of Israel. However, it is not enough to keep this moment to ourselves. We must sound the trumpets and declare publicly, “A nation that rises like a lion will not rest until it has devoured its prey!” (Numbers 23:24) https://israel365news.com/409633/the-day-that-israel-rose-up-like-a-lion/ On Shavuot, Jews who ascended the Temple Mount brought with them the “Two Loaves” sacrifice. The activists, who are priests, donned priestly garments and rushed to the presumed location of the altar, where they offered the two loaves, until they were stopped by the police and Waqf officials. This is the first time a sacrifice has been offered at the Temple site since its destruction, according to sources from the Temple Mount movement. “The priest sanctified his hands and feet in the courtyard area using a ritual vessel, and then received the bag containing the two loaves from someone else who managed to bring them to him despite Waqf attempts to prevent it.” “The priest succeeded in elevating the loaves before the police removed him from the courtyard area.” There are differing reports as to whether the priests actually managed to wave the loaves of bread, per the ritual, or whether their efforts were thwarted at the last minute. After the offering, Rabbi Israel Ariel, overcome with emotion, recited the Shehecheyanu blessing in a choked voice, and the crowd responded with “Amen.” “We salute the activists who renewed the Temple service for the first time in 2,000 years. Renewing the priestly service and the offering of sacrifices on the Temple Mount is the only solution to end the multi-front war and bring back the hostages. We call on the Israeli government to pass a government decision tomorrow to resume the order of sacrificial services.” Iran Fires Several Volleys Of Ballistic Missiles Toward The Jewish State; United States Assisted In Interception: Iran launched several volleys of ballistic missiles toward Israel on Friday and Saturday, with sirens repeatedly sounding across Jerusalem and central/northern Israel, sending millions into bomb shelters. The United States worked to protect Israel from incoming ballistic missiles by assisting the Jewish State in its efforts to intercept the projectiles. Fox News reported that Burke-class destroyers “equipped with the Aegis system, which can detect and shoot down incoming missiles,” were used to help defend Israel from the volleys. The IDF also confirmed that two “suspicious aerial targets” that were attempting to enter Israeli airspace were intercepted by the IAF. At least 70 Israelis were wounded, and two people were killed in four separate waves of ballistic missiles fired from Iran. Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel’s emergency services, reported that multiple individuals needed to be rescued after being trapped in buildings heavily damaged by the attack. One of MDA Mobile Intensive Care Units was also struck by shrapnel in Tel Aviv, causing two female crew members to suffer minor injuries from glass fragments. The public in Israel has been advised not to “publish location or photos of missile impacts” from Iran’s attack, with the IDF underscoring that “the enemy monitors the footage to improve its attack capabilities.” Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz released a statement about the attack, warning that the Iranian regime has “crossed red lines” by firing missiles directed at “civilian population concentrations in Israel.” The White House confirmed that President Donald Trump was leaving the G7 Summit in Alberta, Canada, early and would be returning to Washington, DC. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt revealed that while Trump had accomplished a lot at the G7 meetings, he would be leaving “after dinner with Heads of State” due to the heightened tensions in the Middle East. https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2025/06/16/white-house-confirms-trump-leaving-g7-summit-early/ The Trump administration has reportedly proposed meeting with Iran this week to discuss its nuclear program and a potential ceasefire with Israel. “A meeting with the Iranians this week is under consideration,” a U.S. official told Axios. The meeting has only been proposed as part of President Trump’s desire to make a deal, although it has not been officially finalized. The senior official said that while the administration would like to enter talks, it does not yet know if Iran has “been brought to their knees fully so that they realize that in order to have a country, they have to talk …”ISRAEL BOMBING IRAN’S NUCLEAR SITES; Explosions Heard in Tehran; Israel Defense Minister Says Israel Conducting “Preemptive Strike Against Iran”
