Netanyahu Slams Silence of Women’s Rights Organizations: ‘Where the Hell Are You?’:

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu slammed international women’s organizations on Tuesday for their silence regarding the growing evidence of sexual violence, including rape and mutilation, by Hamas terrorists against Israeli women on October 7.

After initial videos of women’s nearly-naked corpses being paraded through Gaza, and eyewitness accounts of rape, more and more evidence has been emerging of Hamas gang-raping and torturing women — and even men — during their attack. Though Israeli investigators were often unable to collect forensic evidence, due to ongoing fighting, those who examined the bodies of Israeli victims found evidence of sexual abuse and torture, and more eyewitnesses have emerged in Israel’s investigation.

UN Women, the main United Nations organization for women’s equality, did not react to allegations of sexual violence against Israeli women until late last week, nearly eight weeks after the attack. “Progressive” Democrats have equivocated on the issue, pushing back against allegations by noting that Israel, too, has been accused (often falsely) of (other) rights violations.

. . . ..in a press conference Tuesday, Netanyahu blasted the hypocrisy of the world’s human rights groups and women’s groups.  In Hebrew, he said:

I must say that until recent days, I haven’t heard the international human rights organizations, I haven’t heard the women’s organizations, I haven’t heard the women’s organizations in the United Nations — I have not heard their cry. And I say to them: Where are you? You went silent because we’re talking about Jewish women?
Switching to English, he said:

I say to the women’s rights organizations, to the human rights organizations: You’ve heard of the rape of Israeli women, horrible atrocities, sexual mutilation? Where the hell are you? I expect all civilized leaders, governments, nations to speak up against this atrocity.

We came to drive out the darkness: IDF conquers ‘Palestine Square’:

The Gaza war is far from over. There’s a lot left to be done, and a lot of hard fighting to get there. But as the first night of Hanukkah was celebrated yesterday, the IDF was able to offer the people of Israel the first real scenes of victory.

Palestine Square in the heart of Gaza City was a symbolic place of power for Hamas. Earlier on Thursday, the 401st Brigade conquered this altar of evil, and as the Israeli flag was raised and the Hanukkah menorah lit, brigade commander Col. Benny Aharon had an emotional message for his troops and the nation (translation below).

“With tears in the eyes and a powerfully beating heart…

“This is not the end of the war, but it is another milestone on the way (to victory).

“Today, in this accursed Palestine Square, exactly two months after they rejoiced in this same place over our slaughter;

“This square from where they passed out candies and fired rockets at our cities;

“This square from where they humiliated our captives;

“This square that is the heart of the city, the symbolic heart of Hamas authority, the symbol of Gaza;

“Here, in this evil square, we stand proud and strong, with our heads held high, to light the first candle of Hanukkah.

“To bring light to the darkness of Gaza City; your light, a purifying light, a light of goodness, a light of hope and peace, for the sake of our beloved Israel.

“Brigade 401, it has been my great privilege to command you over the past two months. Continue to light the way, and to drive out the darkness. Until victory."

IDF: Large Numbers of Hamas Terrorists Are Surrendering:

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Friday that large numbers of Palestinian terrorists were surrendering to Israeli soldiers after battles in Gaza, and that detainees were being interrogated to provide intelligence to the Israeli military.

IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said in his evening briefing to the media (translation via IDF):

We are eliminating many terrorists, and increasingly are seeing terrorists who surrender during battle and turn themselves over to our forces. In the last 48 hours, we apprehended more than two hundred suspects, dozens of whom were transferred to the 504 Unit of the Intelligence Corps and to the ISA for investigation in Israel. Amongst the suspects transferred for investigation are Hamas commanders and Nukhba [the unit responsible for the October 7 attack] terrorists. Their investigation assists the continued operations of the forces in the field.

Hagari confirmed that Israel had attempted a military operation to rescue hostages, and that two IDF soldiers had been wounded. He suggested that while the raid had successfully entered a Hamas hideout and killed some number of terrorists, hostages had not been found or had been moved away.

As Breitbart News has noted, anti-Israel activists accuse Israel of rounding up civilians, and of humiliating them by forcing them to strip to their underwear during the process of their arrest. But Hamas terrorists often wear civilian clothing, making it hard to distinguish combatant and non-combatant; and stripping the terrorists is a precaution against suicide vests under clothing.
