Beginning today, forum topics will display the most recent replies first (while keeping the original topic post at the top), so you no longer have to navigate through multiple pages to find the latest conversation. This change also helps improve the browsing experience in long-running discussions with many pages of replies. If you notice anything that doesn't seem to be working correctly or have any feedback, please let me know. — Richard G. Greetings my brethren: One thing that has always confused me and I have never really gotten a satisfactory answer about.........thought i would bring it here for your thoughts. Romans 11:11 " I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles. " Romans 10:19-21 "But I say, did Israel not know? First Moses says:“I will provoke you to jealousy by those who are not a nation,I will move you to anger by a foolish nation.” To my understanding Jealousy is fear of loss. We are afraid of losing something dear. I have always thought that the rapture is what makes Israel jealous.........they see so many people leave and likely realize why, thus they think that God has forsaken them.........that which was intended for them has been given to the gentiles. Certainly now, Israel is not jealous. If anything, they are more perturbed by Christianity as we have been trying to prosletyze them for 2000 years and called them every name in the book and blamed them for everything under the sun. Paul certainly did not mean that we should adopt their traditions, garb, or mosaic law........... So they are not jealous of Christians. What do you think is the time or event that will make Israel jealous? Again, my money is on the rapture. Nothing else that i can think of will make Israel jealous. What say you? Thanks! Whit Indeed, many will be made to be jealous once the Lord uniquely exposes himself dramatically through the Rapture! While some ignore, reject and attempt to explain it away as not being a sovereign act of God, the majority will continue in fleshly pride and refuse to acknowledge they they have sinned against God! Thereby in angler raising the fists defiantly before God! TR They have given up the first son blessings for a pot of power! Even hindsight cannot correct that short coming! Being jealous for the praises of men, they have forfeited the greater reward! Yet still today, they are men pleasers! TR But even then, national Israel will not ‘envy’ Christians for 3 1/2 yrs! I equate jealousy with envy! TR Agree! TR
20 But Isaiah is very bold and says:“I was found by those who did not seek Me;
I was made manifest to those who did not ask for Me.”
21 But to Israel he says:“All day long I have stretched out My hands To a disobedient and contrary people.”
