Every time I see this thread title I think of the song, Turkey in the straw. 😉 :mdrmdr: The theme song for the old Good Humor trucks! How fitting they called us all turkey’s because they sure charged an arm and a leg for their ice cream bars/sandwiches and ice pops. But as a kid we didn’t know prices and @ the lake … the Good Humor truck was station near the entrance way and we wanted ice cream so badly and my mom would say “he didn’t wash his hands” to discouraged us from wanting his and promised she would buy us ice pops or ice cream sandwiches later at the grocery store before heading back home. One time I couldn’t wait for that ice cream sandwich and while walking past the truck I yelled out “why aren’t you washing your hands”?! My mom quickly grabbed my arm and walked faster to get on the beach. :mdrmdr: Haven't changed much... TR Turkey is currently being devastated by wildfires.
