And in the usually hot and humid south it's only 86 degrees and 55% humidity. While this is awesome weather it is unusual for this time of year. Yesterday was exceedingly hot here in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. It was around 114 to 115 at its highest where we live. Around 6 or 7 the wind picked up and it dropped about 7 degrees an hour for a nearly 40 degree swing and was very pleasant around 10pm. Fortunately it was a "dry heat" so it was almost bearable, but not really haha. We are now experiencing high 80s so it's much, much better. The larger concern is how much the heat may be drying our forests. Last year 500,000 folks in Oregon evacuated (including us) due to the raging fires. Some folks close to us literally evacuated three times in as many days! Earlier this year, we had a massive ice storm that then downed lots of trees and branches, no doubt littering the forest floors with even more branches, which are now being dried in the hot sun. Please pray for God's mercy. Silly Todd - you need to lay it straight on the ground….
