Here's my hope for August. A few verses the Spirit laid on my mind:

Jesus speaking: “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.“ Luke 9:23 (KJV)

Paul said: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1 (KJV) “I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.” I Corinthians 15:31 (KJV)

From these verses it can be argued that we Christians are called to be the daily sacrifice, a replacement for the daily temple sacrifice that Jesus made void.
With that in mind the following verse in Daniel could be talking about the rapture of the Church:

“Yea, he (Antichrist) magnified himself even to the prince of the host (Jesus), and by him (Jesus) the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.” Daniel 8:11 (KJV)

The root Hebrew word translated “taken away” is hū·rām which can be translated “removed” or “bring up”. Instead of a temple animal sacrifice being stopped could it be that the Church is the object of this verse?

This taking away of the daily sacrifice is recounted again later in the chapter:

“Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed”. Daniel 8:13 & 14 (KJV)

Note that if this also applies to Antichrist removing a temple sacrifice then 2,300 days is a problem since he only has power for the last 42 months (1,260 days) of the seven year period. Some have tried to halve the 2,300 days into 1,150 days to make this work but most Hebrew scholars believe that 2,300 days is the correct translation.

So then if we determine when the sanctuary will be cleansed and count back 2,300 days, then we should find the time that the daily sacrifice is removed. The events in chapter 8 have a dual

narrative of history past and future. First it outlines events leading to the Temple desecration and eventual cleansing at the first Hanukkah of 164BC. Secondly it outlines events of the Little Horn (Antichrist) desecration by calling himself God (magnifying himself to be greater than Jesus, the prince of the host). This too eventually leads to a Temple cleansing possibly at a future Hanukkah just before the start of Christ’s millennial reign.

If Nisan 1 of 2027 starts the seventh millennium then the Hanukkah before this would start on December 5, 2026. 2,300 days before then would be August 18, 2020.

So we have another date we can watch for before the fall feasts roll around.

Another interesting observation is that a seven year period starting in December of 2019 would end in December of 2026 which we might anticipate being the end of the great tribulation. There are studies that conclude that Covid-19 reached epidemic levels in December of 2019. Perhaps this was the trigger God sent to ready things for the end of this age.

If this date passes without result then we watch on.

When I consider the continued and accelerated craziness in America and the world, it is impossibe to be interested in anything except the Blessed Hope of the Rapture. I don’t see revival around the corner. I see more chaos and despondency. Everyone has rights but no responsibilities. Romans chapter one is happening before our very eyes; God has turned many over to reprobate minds. So it’s only natural we want out of here because we don’t belong here. We don’t fit in. Thank you Jesus for that!

Thanks Kent!
Aug 18th on the watch list! Got it!

Can you forward this memo to God?! Just saying. The 17th sounds better!

There is enough "wiggle room" for it to be the 17th. Israel is 8 hours ahead of Central Time Zone and they start the next day at sundown so our 17th may be their 18th at the right time.

Consider it forwarded! I believe that Jesus is talking to our hearts. We are His sheep. We know and recognize His Voice. He is collectively telling those watching that he’s coming soon. What kind of Bride would we be if we weren’t anxious for Him.

Yes sir Kent, God still heeds the prayers of His children! Mark 11:22-23 “And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain be taken up and thrown into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.”

So I’ve not ever needed to move a mountain into the sea , never seen a need (just saying) but I do trust that He hears us when we cry out to Him — now I would not pray against His perfect Will or amiss, but I truly believe He would have us cry out to send the Bridegroom for the Bride! :prayer-hands:
