TR My old room mate used an acoustic coupler when connecting his computer modem to a mainframe at his office to upload code he had written back in the 1980's. If you pick up the other phone it squalled in your ear with a terrible sound. I didn't use one but it sure used me! Lol Now I'm gonna have techno nightmares, thanks brother.
