Quoting from Arthur's article:

Turkish state media channel TRT last week aired a documentary opposing the EastMed pipeline titled The Pipe Dream, which includes footage of State Department Senior Advisor for Energy Security Amos Hochstein discussing the matter before he was appointed to his current position.
Hochstein said he would be “extremely uncomfortable with the US supporting this project” because of its environmental implications.

“Why would we build a fossil fuel pipeline between the EastMed and Europe when our entire policy is to support new technology... and new investments in going green and in going clean?” he asked. “By the time this pipeline is built, we will have spent billions of taxpayer money on something that is obsolete – not only obsolete but against our collective interest between the US and Europe.”

So, aside from the politics involved, they don't like the idea of a pipeline because it's just not green energy.

Bulletin:  Energy sources with their associated delivery systems have become obsolete, according to Turkish and Western officials including California governor Gavin Troublesome.

Energy origination through extraction, and all nuclear, fossil fuel, and hydroelectric generation and delivery facilities, including pipelines, are hereby declared obsolete!

Green policy once again reigns triumphant!  And there are no down-sides!

For those cautiously in doubt however, here is what is certain:  Energy-source-free energy-generating batteries to power vehicles, heat homes, power factories, light cities, and even power ocean going vessels, are currently in global mass production.

Even better news -- also supporting green policy decisions -- is that all historical energy sourcing and distribution systems must necessarily be dismantled and recycled -- creating jobs!

{Breakthrough battery stock tips will be provided for a nominal fee.}

{Tips on where to obtain blankets and candles will be gratis.}

If I am not mistaken, I believe the EU, out of desperation perhaps, has declared nuclear and natural gas to be green energy now. Will try to find the source.

Does this mean they are going to nix the electric cars???   Yesterday I just paid the highest ever for gasoline $3.37 for the cheapest  it wasn’t pretty.  If Trump was still in office we would be paying like $1 something.  I wish this insane government would open up the keystone pipeline once more …

Keystone won't be opened. They haven't totally destroyed the Canadian economy yet. :negative:

Will try to find the source.

Your research will undoubtedly reveal the source of nuclear materials and gas to be largely underground, Arthur.  :mdrmdr: :wacko: :wacko: B-) :whistle: 😉 :unsure: :yes:

Amid Russia tensions, Israel readies for mass influx of Ukrainian Jews:

Representatives of various Israeli government bodies meet Sunday to discuss such a development. Some 75,000 people living in eastern Ukraine are eligible for Israeli citizenship under the Law of Return.

The Israeli government is reportedly preparing for the possibility of thousands of Ukrainian Jews immigrating to the Jewish state in the event of a Russian invasion.

Israel already has plans in place for the mass evacuation of Jews from various countries should the need arise, and recently updated those plans for Ukraine due to its rising tensions with Russia.

While there is currently no major rise in the number of Ukrainian Jews requesting to immigrate to Israel, and while many of those may not even seek to be evacuated or move to Israel, the situation could become the largest evacuation of Jews from a war-torn country in decades, according to the Haaretz report.

I heard Amir say that they are evacuating Ukraine. I pray all are kept safe until they are back in Israel.

Newly arrived bug threatens to decimate Israel’s citrus fruit industry:

Sap-sucking Asian citrus psyllid identified in Emek Hefer region, prompting Agriculture Ministry to launch pesticide campaign; likely arrived on smuggled plant material.

A tiny bug that can carry a disease deadly to citrus trees has been detected in Israel, posing a potentially catastrophic danger to the country’s citrus producers, the Agriculture Ministry has warned.

The Asian citrus psyllid, or Diaphorina citri Kuwayama, is a known vector for citrus greening disease and was recently identified in the Emek Hefer region in the center of the country.

The disease causes stunted growth in infected citrus trees and irregular misshapen fruit that can’t be used as produce. Ultimately, it kills infected citrus trees as there is no treatment, the ministry said.

Shlomit Zioni, director of the ministry’s Plant Protection and Inspection Services, said in a statement on Tuesday that the Asian citrus bug could lead to the establishment of “a dangerous disease that will put the entire citrus fruit industry in the country in danger of extinction due to being the vector that spreads it.”
