While having a nice discussion with Bill on the subject I thought this might be an interesting topic for you all to join in. Hey Yohanan, I bought this book almost finished reading it. Getting ready to order another book. Thanks for bringing his name up. For me I think the Holy Spirit brought that name to your memory. I'm glad you like it, Bill! I'm a big fan of Tozer. He doesn't pull any punches, which is something greatly lacking in today's preaching. I've have and have read the first two titles "The Knowledge of the Holy" and "The Pursuit of God" but I haven't read "God's Pursuit of Man". I've also got a double volume set called "The Tozer Topical Reader" which is really nice for those times when I don't have time for a long read. It's a bunch of out takes of his works. Thats a good collection you have there. Ya, I've learned a lot already just by reading this one book. He talks about how God is constantly revealing Himself to us but it's sin that blocks our ability to be willing recipients. Like, here's one, self-sins. Wanting to be recognized or being concerned with if I got 'likes' or not. lol I've been praying that the Holy Spirit make me acutely aware of my sins, like the one's I would overlook before. My preoccupation of things of the flesh, ego, holding grudges, stuff thats not profitable spiritually. Interesting this particular book came out in 1948. Mmm. I think I'm going to get his book talking about the Holy Spirit. I Googled the Oct 13th Catholic videos warning about the tribulation starting, emphasis mostly about Mary. I read thru a lot of the comments & I can't believe the blindness people have! It's all works. Mary, mother of the end times, OH PLEASE! Yes sir! Tozer pulls no punches but that is what the church desperately needs. What I found interesting while reading through a lot of Tozer's works is that he thought the times he lived in were the worst. Boy, do I have news for him! LOL I know, right. I chuckle to myself when he alludes to that time period as very bad. A few years ago, I was reading letters from Johathan Edwards 1700s, and he very much frowned on young people hanging out together of opposite sexes. Because of what it could lead to as far as temptations. What innocent times those were. He had an essay or whatever how they referred to it, on the working of the Holy Spirit. Opened my eyes. I've had his book Sinners In The Hands Of An Angry God for some time now and still haven't read it. I would like to before I get off of this rock. Have you read this one? If so, what is you're take away? Also, are you familiar with George H. Morrison? I enjoy reading his sermons, too. Gentleman — I just heard about this one from A.W. Tozer and may try to get it read before we leave — if not I will discuss it with him in heaven — it is about making sure the devil knows his place and how he cannot defeat us if we trust in the blood of Jesus …
