Ok, don’t read too deep in to this post or take it too seriously because that is not the intent.  This is just a musing of mine that I had this morning that is probably a big nothing burger but I thought I would share it anyway.

So today is Earth Day, some see it as a day to reflect on nature, but really it is more of a holiday instituted by radical environmentalists who worship “Gaia” Mother Earth.  Some of these same people who are dominant in the New Age religions also have a belief that the world will go through a great “evolution” and purge all of the meatheads that do not believe in the radical environmentalist new age agenda - from thier own description it sounds an awful lot like the rapture when all of the dimwits and haters (according to them) will be removed from the world according to them - sounds like the devil is running cover and covering his bases for the cause of the rapture doesn’t it?

So anyway today is “Earth Day” which every year falls on 4/22 - however this year, 2022, it is 4/22/22 - I don’t want to devolve into numerology which can be used for divination, but simple math (for those who were not raised on common core curriculum) would grant that 4/22/22 could be interpreted as 4/4/4.

4 is the Hebrew letter “Dalet” which also is a symbol of the “door”

Is it a coincidence that the opening theme of Revelation 4 is the opening of that door? “After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.””
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭4:1‬

Could it be that today, the very date gives us a hint of an open door?

Maybe God will confound the unbeliever and let them think “Gaia” finally purged us on Earth Day. “And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,”
‭‭II Thessalonians‬ ‭2:11‬

Again, don’t take this post too seriously, probably a nothing burger, just my thoughts for the morning…..

As one other thought to add to what I just posted above….

If we are to celebrate “Earth Day” in any way as a Christian, here is what I think we should “celebrate” as we consider the earth today - think about this scripture…

“For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:19-22‬ ‭

It's now 23rd of April in Australia. 🙁

Which also makes me wonder - is it possible that the Rapture won't happen on any significant date because it's an absolutely global event and unlikely to happen on the same calendar date worldwide? It was different when significant things happened on significant dates in Israel because they were local events.

Good point, Wendy. I have always assumed the rapture would happen centered around Israel but I do not know that to be true. Just seems like it would be since they are God's chosen.

Not that it matters but I always watch for what time it is in Israel. I know that they are 7 hours ahead of me on EST on the east side of the US. Like you said, it will be different times and even days in other parts of the world. I like this weekend for the end of Passover and the orthodox Resurrection Sunday but also watching second Passover May 14/15, Ascension Day May 26, Pentecost June 5th and every day in between!!

Because of Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice Isaac, God chose his descendants and created the nation Israel by which to reveal Himself to mankind!

He made them a peculiar people and nation!  They share much history together!  God put His unique stamp of ownership upon them, calling them His chosen people!

They highlight and embody one of my greatest misconceptions!  That being chosen by God, they and we would more than anybody take on and exhibit the nature of God!

But alas, that is not always the case!  For even as His chosen, they and we  still love sin, with few being able or willing to reflect and emulate His heart!

Truly, we all still remain as broken vessels!  Personal growth and the heart to improve ourselves is not a given!

That is to say, our unrighteousness remains!  He alone was and is perfect!

And yet He still loves us in our pathetic state. Thankfully, He sees us through the filter of Jesus and His righteousness. Thank You Lord!
