I do prefer the Z-pack and combo it with Cefdinir — did you see JD’s push for liquid D — love that guy, he is so funny sometimes, but I do highly recommend Vitamin D drops, I try to shoot for getting at least 5K Units daily to maintain efficacy, along w/ Zinc, C, and B-com; recently added the Glutathione to the list of recommendations as well. I try to give them as much OTC supplements … encourage greens as well, except in the anticoag group but with the nutrient depletion of our food sources, it’s difficult to know and I try not to run up costs with extra labs (that is getting out of hand as well - 1 CBMP was close to 500 for a few patients, unreal the gouging……)

Praying that this is a week for a great wedding, Wednesday’s are always recommended for the Galilean wedding ceremony to go get the Bride and carry her to the wedding feast …. if you haven’t watched “Before the Wrath” you should it is awesome and exciting. :prayer-hands:

Kolleen,  Unless they are time released, can you try opening them and putting them in Applesauce or yogurt?  I have some patients that just make smoothies and empty all supplements into the mix. Also, there are some supplements that are in liquid form, they might be a bit more costly but that is a possibility to look into. Just keep an eye on the number of units 5,000 units etc ….Just a thought!

Yohanan - as I would agree you are perfectly correct in this thought and Bible truth — although I would remind you that God does expect us to take care of our temple …. look at what happens to the temple when we over indulge in too much food or the wrong food or not enough food, so therefore we must take care to maintain the delicate balance of this marvelous, yet defective, body He gave us to live in, until He deems it is time to exit it.

That is like saying, I can get in a car and drive 120 miles on the opposite of the road and be just fine — NOT! I can run off the cliff and I should be able to fly —- again, NOT! It is called responsibility… The laws of God are not to be toyed with … God is not mocked, whatever you sow, you will reap! Just ask any reformed alcoholic or drug addict.

Sorry to be harsh, but I deal with these thought processes on a daily basis and then they expect me to heal them back to a state of “normal” or their families do for all the “bad” choices they have made, or we have to decide to take a leg off or put them on dialysis or put them on the heart/lung transplant list. Our Father gave us such wonderful temples and we work hard daily to destroy it. Cry

Geri, I love garlic and onions — they are chock full of great stuff — and with the mask mandate, no more issues with breath :mdrmdr: :mdrmdr: :mdrmdr:

Kent — if only we could now be assured that our food chain was not contaminated. I try to buy from local farmers and grow my own as much as possible, but not everyone has that ability. We also have a local butcher that I can get from who caters to in state and small farms.

It’s just difficult these days when folks have to make decisions between food or medicines, we have gone way down the rabbit hole on creating the medical issues common today by living lives of indulgence —- I agree, I have probably said way more than I should, people have the right to make their own choices …. I just hope they realize medicine can’t fix everything, we can only offer “band-aides” for the life-long choices —- and many times the bandaid sticky just won’t stick. Cry

A rule of thumb in my world —- is that if it has more than five ingredients, put it back …. If any of those five ingredients are items you don’t know or can’t grow, put it back…..
