TR yohanan- i'm so sorry for your family and theirs...so unexpected and devastating...thank the Lord that she is His and with Him with no more of the mess down here! i hate all of this stuff...i have to believe it is all being used for good - for salvation of those who wouldn't have been shaken enough without all the craziness of the past 2 years- for all of us already saved to grow in faith and reliance on God and not fall for temptations or get out of sins of idolizing self, wealth, health, government etc...truly understanding we are vessels, we are bought by His blood and here for His purposes not our comfort...i think He's teaching us to be thankful in all things knowing we are being shaped to be more like Jesus and pressing us into Himself in deeper relationship with Him which pleases Him and comforts and strengthens us as we become more and more aware that we are not the ones really in control... our son is planning to be on a cruise next week...he went against our warnings in the past and is fully vaxd (& even administers them) but hopefully still has not taken booster, but i don't know...i just looked at the covid info for Carnival after seeing the other day on NTD that at least 86 ships were being inspected cuz of covid outbreaks...the restrictions say must be full set of vax (booster only recommended) unless dr. note medical exemption...interesting...plus you have to have negative test between 72 and 24 hours before cruise starts...then if you get positive, you & any close contacts from past 2 wks cannot go...sooo....a bunch of 20 s'thing fully vaxd guys riding in car together for hours and hours stop at a music festival couple days...then have to test...and if any of them get positive, none would be able to go (unless they lie, i guess)...we aren't thrilled about any of these plans cuz of type of music and then cuz of the covid etc. spread on these ships and like ppl here are saying it could affect vaxd worse if they get sick...please pray God's will be done...none of it is close to where we could help anything right away either...things like this could end up being used by the Lord to reach hearts and souls- to humble them before Him- for their benefit and His glory...scary as a parent though- please say a prayer God's will be done...thanks CDC: Avoid Cruise Travel ‘Regardless of Vaccination Status’: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is now advising Americans not to travel by cruise ship — even if they are vaccinated against coronavirus — as the number of Omicron cases soars.
