Pastor in Nepal sentenced to 2 years in prison for saying prayer can heal COVID-19

"A court in Nepal has sentenced a pastor to two years in prison under the country’s harsh anti-conversion law for merely saying that prayers can heal COVID-19, according to reports."

"Pastor Acharya was first arrested on March 23 last year from his home in Pokhara, Gandaki Pradesh Province, on charges of spreading false information regarding COVID-19. Though he was released about a fortnight later, he was rearrested moments later on charges of “outraging religious feelings” and “proselytizing.”

"The constitution establishes Nepal as a secular country but also effectively bans evangelism, as it states that no one is allowed to make an attempt to convert people of other religions to his or her own. It also calls for the protection of Hinduism, the majority religion."

Article 26 (3) of the constitution states: “No person shall behave, act or make others act to disturb public law and order situation or convert a person of one religion to another or disturb the religion of other people…such an act shall be punished by law.”

Shame on the Nepalese government. They are super corrupt as they allow child trafficking to flourish in their country.

Instead, they double down on corruption by arresting Christians for speaking the truth.

There will be a reckoning one day soon.

:prayer-hands:  for your healing!

Your experience … reminds me of the time back in college when I had a cold and I took Dimetapp Cold & Allergy.  Just 1 pill … it made me so tired I fell asleep and missed my afternoon classes and I was confused, I started to hallucinate.    That never happened before so I knew the drug company must of changed the formula BIG time.   Scary stuff.

So glad there is Mucinex … with no nasty side effects.

Praying that you feel better Heidi, that the Lord will provide rest and healing. :prayer-hands: Like Arthur mentioned I also had considerable fatigue when I had covid- dizziness, loss of appetite, headache and nausea. Stay hydrated and rest, use the vitamins you have and a daily baby aspirin 81mg.

"Oregon is moving to make its indoor mask mandate permanent, meaning the rule will only be able to be repealed in the highly unlikely event of Republicans winning the state."

"Authorities are progressing in making compulsory face coverings an indefinite mandate and have taken “the first step in making the rule permanent,” reports KATU."

"Once the mask rule is imposed permanently, it will never be repealed until Republicans win the state, something that hasn’t happened since 1984."

I just had an hour long phone call from a good friend. His wife just passed away from a heart aneurysm. She was in her 40s and in pretty good health. The answer is yes to the obvious.

Please pray for Scott. He is just devastated. Me too.
