MAHA: RFK Jr. Announces Policy Changes Designed to Modernize Oversight of Food Ingredients:

The Trump administration is taking two more steps to help solidify the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) agenda, Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced Monday.

...Kennedy said, announcing the proposal of a rule that would require manufacturers “to notify the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) when concluding that the use of a substance added to human or animal food is Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS).” HHS, along with the Department of Agriculture, is also submitting the government’s final definition of ultra-processed foods.

“We’re proposing a rule that would end the practice of companies making GRAS determinations without notifying the FDA, the proposal will give the agency greater visibility into the substances that are entering our food supply,” he said.

“Nearly 60 percent of American diet is made up of ultra-processed foods. For our kids, it can be up to 70 percent. Obesity now affects more than one in five American children. More than 70 percent of American adults are obese or overweight. The costs are spiritual, physical, and financial,” Kennedy said, pointing out that America spends trillions on health care but that we “remain the world’s sickest country.”

“Parents should not need a chemistry degree to understand what their children are eating,” he added. “Americans deserve real transparency. They deserve real food.”

ABLECHILD: ADHD is Not a Medical Condition:

You know there’s a problem with mental health when a former president of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) goes public with the forbidden statement that ADHD is “not a medical condition.” Of course, the good doctor is right, there is zero evidence that there is any abnormality in the brain that is ADHD and, frankly, medicine knows it.

Ironically, the symptoms of the alleged “neurodevelopmental condition” ADHD reveals itself with the following behaviors, including daydreaming, forgetting or losing things, squirming or fidgeting, talking too much, making careless mistakes or taking unnecessary risks, having a hard time resisting temptation, having trouble taking turns, and having difficulty getting along with others to name a few.

With all due respect to the great scientific minds but these “symptoms” seem like normal everyday life.

All the prescription drugs that are used as “treatment” carry significant, even possibly, deadly side effects. For example, stimulants like Adderall, Ritalin, Concerta and Vyvanse all have possible unpleasant side effects like insomnia, weight loss, headaches, dizziness, nausea, anxiety, irritability, restlessness, increased nervousness and elevated blood pressure, psychosis, hallucinations, delusions and cardiovascular strain to name a few. One has to decide if wiggling and talking out of turn is so bad that it’s worth the possible adverse events that may occur.

The use of stimulant prescriptions has increased yearly. Between 2012 and 2023, for example, the number of prescriptions surged 60% from more than 50 million to more than 80 million. By anyone’s count, that’s seems like an awful lot of mind-altering drugs for kids who wiggle too much.
