Grider's insistence that the KJV is the ONLY acceptable version is sheer non-sense. He claims that all other translations are basically error prone. In many cases I agree but certainly not in all cases. Grider doesn't seem to understand linguistics. Some translations try to translate the Greek and Hebrew word for word while others, thought for thought. In the KJV there are verses that are not in earlier and better manuscripts. Some theologians believe these were added in because earlier scholars had made notes in the side panes of their Bibles. For instance, Mark chapter 9 verses 44 & 46 are not in the better manuscripts:

Mark 9:44 where ‘Their worm does not die And the fire is not quenched.’

Mark 9:46 where ‘Their worm does not die And the fire is not quenched.’

There are other verses as well.

Grider treats the KJV with near worship status. Folks, we are not to worship the Bible. We are to worship it's Author! While I agree that there are some terrible translations, The Message being one of them, and I'm not at all a fan of the NIV, there are some excellent versions worthy of being called Holy Bible. Two that I use are the New Revised Standard Version and the American Standard Version. I also use the NKJV as well as the 1611 KJV. No one will ever be able to convince me that God stopped communicating with us in 1611. With all the "dreams" and "revelations" and self appointed prophets that appear today that no one ever seems to question, why is it so hard to believe that God did not give us a better understanding of His Word with todays language? Find me one person who speaks the Kings English of 1611.

In his own words Grider says:
The King James Bible reigned supreme from 1611, without a serious competitor, until the year 1881 with the Revised Version (RV), followed shortly by the American Standard Version (ASV) in 1901. With the publication of these two “bibles”, the Laodicean Church Age officially began, and every “bible” printed since then is worse than the one before it. That is his OPINION!

I think it best to read and study the Bible with two or three translations. I am not opposed to using the KJV as the benchmark but it is not always easy to understand and in some instances I do not understand AT ALL what is being said. If you are a KJV ONLY person then God bless you! But I will continue to use ALL the tools God has made available to me to study and understand His Word better. Call me a heretic if you want to but you'll be in for a GREAT shock when you see me in Heaven too!

And to the OP (Geri9), I am not blasting you. I am taking exception to Grider's comments. Don't feel like you are in hot water here because you are not. Just some of the things he says gets my dander up.

So, this must be the variant they had planned to be active at the time of the revealing of the AC? I think we have way passed seeing the beginnings of these things.

Blue, I think we are going to witness against this generation right up until the end which will be at the rapture. I used to think we'd be gone before things got to this point but we are obviously well past that point so now I am thinking it will be a Red Sea moment. Hang on sister. We will be out of here soon. We won't be here fir the Tribulation and all indicators point to it beginning soon.

"all indicators point to it beginning soon"

I hope Hal Lindsay is still here long enough to participate.  He's no teenager anymore.

Since Hal Lindsay is pretty much the father of the modern rapture movement I hope he is still here to participate in it too!

Is Hal Lindsay ill?  I used to watch his weekly program on TV but I cut the TV cord 7 years ago.

Blue mentioned there is another round of Passover/Resurrection Day this Sunday … perhaps we will go then?

If not … then hopefully Hal can hold on until 22 more days?   Aaron mentioned May 5th - 6th he sees in the constellations the Restrainer stops restraining at that time?  Also  there is another sign in the heavens for May 5-6, 2023 - a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse and perhaps we can ruin Charlie’s coronation with the rapture event to cause a big noise and some serious chaos. 😆

I haven't heard anything about him being ill, but he's 93!  How many people make it even that far?
