LOL  thanks.  I have been around a while and made a few posts, but I usually sit back and read.  I am one who views almost everything through the prophetic lens and sometimes it makes sense (such as Turkey in Syria or Syria heating up), but sometimes it doesn't....like the Corona hype.  Thats why its good to get the pulse of you guys..........I am not anxious and not panicking by any means but there is a lighter spring in my step as thinking this could be it and we could soon be arriving at our final destination.

I am so impatient.

Thanks again!

Whit

I got a niece who is getting married in Miami in 7 more days. Last August when she visited me with her fiancé  I joked with her and said that is the perfect time for the rapture to happen.  She replied it better not.  Bwahahaha  ... I have a hunched her wedding will get postponed since her parents and the pastor and his family, along with her sister, etc. are all flying down and the thought of them being stuck in Florida during lockdown will not be pleasant.  They all despise extreme humid climate.

I’m going to be brave and head back out to the grocery store again today ... but the items I need hopefully are not hot items ... need more baking soda, lemon juice and shampoo.  Oh and the pet shop ... can’t forget to stock up my dog’s favorite treats.

I worry more that our heating fuel will run out ... we still have cold weather here.  I think it will be wise for us all to fill up our gas tanks and to have extra money or should I say “dirty” money from the ATM’s to have on hand in case the banks close.  There might be one or 2  7/11 stores still open during lock down time ...

Hi Witt! So my two cents, I am an advanced practice RN. With many fancy degrees behind my name. I work in administrative role with in an acute care facility with two EDs. I belong to a very large health care organization in North America. I have been in more meetings, calls, webinars on COVID19 than I care to think about. To give you a bit of back ground, it is man-made, it did originate from China (whether intention or accident - another discussion), it is 1 of 4 of the Coronavirus strand. This is Novel (new) corona 19 (2019). Three others of this family, SARS, MERS, common cold.
it is a heavier corona (therefore, it falls once outside the host). It is destroyed with normal cleaning and HAND WASHING. It does not survive outside the host for even as long as the common cold (48-72 hrs ).
The problem: it survives longer in the host (14 days therefore more spreading)

The elderly, immune compromised, respiratory compromise, are the most affected, no different than any other flu.

Those who have died of COVID19 have had other co- morbidities that contributed to their death.

More people have died of the general flu as of today, than COVID19.

To answer if this is from God, don’t know, but people are coming to Christ because of their fear. Is it a plague, obviously, much like the locust now covering 4 countries, like the earthquakes in diverse places. IT IS Not part of the tribulation, that will be far worse.
We have not been given a spirit of fear, to fall back into sin, but of love and a sound (wise) mind.

Stop the panic (no thanks to the medianites), WASH your Hands (soap and water for 20 seconds) more frequently , don’t touch your face in public, PRAY for those living in fear. If you are sick, stay home and hydrate.

Seeing this, makes me very thankful I will be raptured. Our home going is so close, the trumpets are warming up :prayer-hands:

Thanks Tammie, you are my new BFF.  :good:   Yours is the most thorough, understandable, and in depth explanation that i have heard heretofore.  Thank  you.

I guess the bottom line is no one knows what the trajectory is for this thing, but whatever it is is likely in the very early phases.  It is just too early to tell if it is a fire drill or not.

But I do agree with Geri, this could very well be it.  If not, it is a great dress rehearsal with the final act shortly to follow.  Either way something momentous and tectonic plate shifting is happening and our world will not be the same after this (ie more government control, etc).  Feels kind of like it did on 9/12.  As I said, many things are pretty clear when it is happening prophetically, but sometimes it just takes a bit to see how the puzzle piece fits.So we wait [im] patiently and keep looking up.

Thank you all for your thoughts and input.

Blessings!

Whit

Whit and TR you are welcome and blessings to all. My daughter, (Heather, she is on too) and I were talking. She mentioned something very similar to Geri’s thoughts. The service lines are very strained with certain product lines being completely out of availability (totally not made). I know for my healthcare organization, we have pulled personal protective equipment (ppp) out of the public reach for the safety of our staff (John Q public was literally running into our hospitals and medical practices and grabbing masks, sanitizer. Just craziness!

You are correct when you stated, this is not over! Although this virus is not that bad (no worse than the regular flu), for the majority of humans, the media has filtered out SO much miss information to create a world wide panic.

The beauty is that the human race is waking up to realize their own mortality and many are coming a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus. As Paul says (to paraphrase) ... whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed .... what man promoted for evil, God will use for good (the spread of the gospel).
Today is National Day of Prayer for North America, and we as watchers and totally aware of the times, should bind together to pray to the a Lord of the harvest, to send forth laborers into His harvest....reap the lost, precious Lord, that the Father will be Glorified through Christ.
I had a great discussion with one of the epidemiologist who sat near me for one meeting with the state health department— her comments were very helpful— this virus is not even as strong as the regular flu. The only thing this virus has going for it is that it survives longer (14 days) in the host, therefore it spreads to more people. BUT, she affirmed, clean surfaces with normal cleaning products, wash hands (20 seconds), cover your cough. Many people will and already carry the corno viral bug, but may never be affected.
If you have another health disease (diabetes, heart condition, respiratory compromise, immunodeficiency), you need to be careful. Your sustainability is greater. This is SARS-2.

As Amir tweeted “be encouraged, the virus was made in China, it won’t last long....” loved that!

It is time for the church to rise up and be examples, pray, seek out your neighbor who may be hurting, give food and aide to those who are without work because of voluntary quarantine. Think of the kids who are out of school now! Pray they have opportunity to step away from TV, video games and hear or read about Jesus.

Phil 4:7 :prayer-hands: Come Lord, your servant waits!

Thanks..........I agree.........I wonder on this virus though......maybe you have better insight.  For education sake I watched the PBS American Experience 1918 flu show online.  What made that flu so deadly was it kept changing in each host and the doughboys took a mild(er) form to Europe, but when they came home it had changed and changed some more until  it was much more powerful and like a category five hurricane.  I wonder if something like that is going to happen here.

I am not the least bit anxious or nervous about anything.  Truthfully, i have not sung anything sadder than "zippity doo dah" for the last couple of days.  Not because people are sick, but because it has the potential to make us that much closer.  Plus my Presbyterian faith tells me that God's got this........God is sovereign.......and none of us go through life like tennis shoes in a dryer.  B-)

Another aspect is this is all in the spiritual realm.

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

I have believed for quite some time that there is a battle in the spiritual realm that we cannot see.  I believe that is what happened to the president in the impeachment and I believe that is what happened to Kavanaugh.  Something a lot bigger and evil...was working which was much bigger than just the facts as they were presented.

This just feels different.  I did not feel this way with SARS, or Bird FLu, or H1N1.  This seems to have a deeper meaning..........what that is may have to be borne out over time but it sure feels different.

In all that the Lord does, all I can do is marvel.  He never asks for my permission nor does He always explain to me His ways!  Some call this faith.  I just say that I'm not as smart as He is!

Indeed opportunities for accepting and drawing near to the Lord can always be found.  The Lord sees to that.  All we need to do is to open the door to His every possible opportunity.

Whit - a virus (any virus) by its very nature is designed to mimic the host cells. The body then will recognize it as self and not unite an attack against it. This gives the virus time to invade the rest of the body.
You see our bodies have a wonderfully designed and amazing attack system known to clinicians as the complement protein C cascade. This amazing system is a group of “warrior” cells that begin the fight against foreign invaders. Sometimes, things go wrong in the body, the body fights against itself in disease states like lupus.
As a holistic clinician, I could go on and on with how we have taken such a wonderful temple and destroyed it with lifestyle choices, but I won’t Cry
This virus is no different, because a virus by its very nature can mutate, it makes it difficult to develop any cure. We can develop a type of the RNA strand of a virus to help break down the DNA surface shell that would allow the body to initiate a reaction. Once this occurs, your body builds immunity (recognition) of the virus.  There are so many different “strands” of the common cold, therein is why we will still catch it

My best advice besides the previous is to boost your own fighting ability. Hydrate well, H2O is awesome, green teas are great, increasing vitamin C (be careful not to overdue this, diarrhea is never a great side affect), I personally love Braggs Apple Cider vinegar. I drink a teaspoon twice a day (keep it low as changing the bodies normal pH is dangerous), and gargle with it as needed. I use echinacea at times ( never go too long, can cause the body to turn on self). Exercise, this helps pump the blood to move the sludge. For those who have respiratory history, should do deep breathing exercise twice daily or more, same for the elderly, move unnecessary creation up and out of lungs, plus we stop using those lower lungs and they start hardening for lack of this use. I get sick very rarely, typically not in years. Lots of non, expensive stuff to do! I have never believed we should just be a band-aide society to cover up, its best to get to the reason why and fix that if possible. My opinions only.
still praying - Lord come quickly :prayer-hands:
