I know the Jews celebrated Pentecost back on May 17/18 and the Christians will on the 23rd, this Sunday.  I have been convinced of the rapture connection to Pentecost now for several years and with the all the other signs pointing to the time is near, war going on in Israel and the Fig Tree Generation, the signs in the heavens (and on and on), it would seem to me that this year Pentecost may be the year of the rapture. (Can't imagine waiting till next Pentecost!) However now that the 17 and 18th are past, is there still hope that the Lord would return on the date the Christians celebrate it? If you google Pentecost, it always comes up for the 23rd of this year. Why are the Christians off compared to the Jewish tradition? Confusing....! I am assuming the Lord has chosen the Christian date, the 23rd, since Pentecost has the Gentile connection with the raising of the loaves having yeast and the story of Ruth being a Gentile so  I'm still on high alert for this 23rd date of Pentecost.

If any of you can explain why our date is out compared to the one celebrated by the Jews, I'd be happy to have that explained.

This is from a year ago, but if you start about the 18min mark, he explains a lot. Go to the 34 min mark to just freeze and read.

According to what he says, assuming the calendar is not a month off like some are saying, we have all the way to the end of next week to Sivan 15 on the Torah Calendar.  I am thinking that on some calendar, the blood moon of the 26th could be Pentecost.  But, some people are saying that the blood moon is actually Passover!  That would put Nisan 10 on this weekend! Maybe no man knows.

Thank you, Blue! He basically said, the Christians traditionally have started the count of 50 days on the Sunday following Shavuot and regarding the timing of Shavuot, he says, 'we don't really know when it is....there are so many ways and calendars to interpret how to start the count....'The feast no one knows the date of!'

But it certainly is  THE high watch feast IF Jesus comes on a feast! It's ...the marriage feast....when there traditionally was a change in dispensation (that's a biggie! because the age of Grace will be completed and we begin the time of Jacob's Trouble).... a harvest feast of the wheat (that's who we are!).... in the spring time to line up with Song of S.....time of a trumpet blast from God as opposed to the priests....50 (Pent) means completion and fullness...the feast with no date.....its spot on the Minora in the middle by itself....the feast after counting and waiting in expectation.....the connection to Enoch....so many clues that this is what we are waiting for !

Come Lord Jesus, come! The bride is waiting expectantly for her groom!

I have often thought, why else is the book of Ruth in the Bible and the book of Song of Solomon except to provide clues to the us the church and foretell the rapture with clues of its timing and telling of the Gentile bride and her kinsman redeemer with all the parallels to what we are facing now.

Yes, I agree.  Hoping for the 23rd. Or maybe midnight in Israel on the 22nd, so 4:00pm central time where I am!  That is only about 25hrs from now!

Yes....midnight like in the tradition of the bridegroom coming at midnight, or do we look to the Acts 2 Pentecost tradition, 'When the day of Pentecost had fully come' at 9:00 as they met together. I like the midnight plan like you as it comes sooner....EST it's 5:00 p.m on the 22nd....

Some people have stated the 31st as a high watch date.....why? What is the significance there?

I've seen so many dates, I can't keep track.  Maybe that is the 17th day of the 2nd month on some calendar?  But that is for the flood and I thought that is really in the fall?  Which is it? Or second Passover on some calendar?  Those are the dates people are generally watching besides Pentecost right now.  Whichever comes soonest works for me!

17th day of the second month and 2nd Passover are for if the calendar is off a month.
