Oh sorry to hear you suffer side effects from mint.

Here I been drinking a few boxes of organic spearmint tea for the past few months …

It balances hormones, lowers blood sugar, improves digestion,  reduces stress and improves memory, removes bloating and IBS, fights infections and cancer …

Now I’m switching it out for Green Tea and other herbal teas.

Mint flavoring used in food and beverages is often derived from oil of turpentine, which comes from the resin of pine trees. It's a lot cheaper to produce than real mint oil and most people don't know the difference. This flavoring is mainly produced in China and is widely used by manufacturers around the world. I know many people are allergic to it.

Like Geri says, real mint has multiple health benefits. I make mint tea from fresh mint leaves, slightly bruised and steeped in hot water for 10 minutes. I usually add a bit of honey.

I'm also a big fan of green tea. Here in South Africa we have an indigenous tea called Rooibos (meaning red bush). It's not only delicious, with a natural sweetness, but it's probably one of the healthiest substances on earth, according to various studies. It's even given to babies for the relief of various ailments.

Technically speaking, coffee is just another type of tea, but don't let that stop us from our friendly rivalry!

Very interesting the mint they are using for most food and beverages is coming from oil of turpentine from the pine tree.  I’m sure even the gummie spearmint leaf candies contain that oil as well.

But my organic spearmint tea is only coming from the leaves brewed.

All I know is if I stop drinking tea … then I don’t feel so hot so I know the herbal teas, green tea, black tea, etc are working.

Perhaps those who have to have thee coffee 🙄 can only drink one cup to wake up😳 and then try to incorporate tea for the rest of their day and perhaps they will soon learn to liken it. B-)

All of the green tea on the planet cannot compensate for the standard American diet, which is full of processed foods loaded with sugar, hormones, and chemicals that most people cannot even pronounce. Americans are unhealthy because of what they eat.
