TR we had a Christmas like that one year back in the late 70’s, we were in Bible College and had 5.00 to spend, so we started out on a trek to find a tree, it was Dec 20th if I recall, we found one tree place open and went to look, had two of our kiddos in tow... found a small, ok tree, but it was 7.00 ... told the kids we couldn’t get it and turned to leave, the owner just asked “what’s your car”, we had an old Ford Pinto, he picked up the tree and hauled it to the car, helped my husband tie it to the top ... my husband went to give him our 5.00 and he just said “Merry Christmas use it for lights” and turned around and walked off ... we praised the Lord for His gift all the way home, tree wasn’t much, but it became everything.... God is so good. :good: :yahoo:

I agree, so good to hear your Christmas “God moment” blessing of long ago, Tammie.  I love how the Lord provides, even in the smallest ways ... He really cares and wants to give us good gifts and joy.

Talk about the good old days with $7.00 Christmas tree prices ... that was equivalent to  3 hrs of minimum wage back then. :mdrmdr:

Tammie, I told your story to my nephew and his fiancé today because they told me they were just recently looking at trees at Walmart and a total stranger came up to them, asked a few questions and then gave them a 100 dollar bill to buy a tree.

Indeed God is good!  He is not dead and doesn't hate Christmas!

Always room for Christmas miracles!

Just as in the Christmas miracle of 1812 when American and German troops laid down their weapons and met in no man's land and exchanged gifts and good will!

Against all orders to the contrary!

Do you mean in 1914? The Christmas Truce between the Allies and the Germans?

Leaving Soon—yet another angel in time moment as I have learned to call them. God comes thru 100% of the time for His children, giving us the desire of our heart. Many decades later and walking many miles through different ministries, God remains faithful in His care. If you can tell your nephew for me, enjoy the God moment as He touched their life, cherish it! Can’t wait to see our Savior face to face. :prayer-hands:
