Tessa Lena’s article is pretty disturbing! Humanity as we know it cannot last much longer.

Patricia, lovely and interesting artwork! It seems you're still painting, just not keeping up your website?

I like this one:

Thanks, Kolleen.  I had not been painting since the beginning of Covid, when they said to not go anywhere and just stay home.  The officials did not even want people driving on the roads here in California.  My daughter phoned me and said, "Mom, you need to get your art materials out of your studio before the quarantine goes into effect so you can paint at home."  So, I went and picked some things up, but it's hard to do art at home; there are too many distractions.  And, I have a tremor which continues to get worse (although I still ask God for healing) so I honestly did not know if I could paint at all anymore.

But, I co-ordinate a plein air group that paints outside so when Covid seemed to be subsiding, they all wanted to get together again and we did.  I just did drawings, sometimes very bad drawings.  Last week my husband decided to go to the studio and I thought, I'll try. . . .  And, I guess it was a good day, so I did a very loose painting, the beginning of a tree, and it gave me hope.

There are other things to do if you are an artist aside from painting, like sales taxes, gallery meetings, staffing, signing up for shows, and now we are required to upload every painting at the gallery to their website and have QR codes for them, so my work on their website is totally up to date.  I guess my own website gets short shrift.

What a long, pathetic excuse.  Sorry.   I should just update it!
