Like many verses that can easily translate into dual interpretation, we can glean a specific meaning as well as a general meaninging. Whether to be absent from the body, or as we see the day approaching! For perhaps both will apply! Certainly we can see our day ever getting near watching the plans of the enemy unfold. But are we also being told we shall know the exact day?! IMHO, with a future divine disclosure, yes definitely so! TR Seeing that day approach does speak of watching! Yet many who are not watching for His return are also pricked by the mounting tensions and chaos. Even a general testimony speaks to the heart! May their eyes also be opened! TR Yes ... my saved post-trib California brother even perked up when I mentioned the Gates vaccine is coming. If I mentioned Middle East news, his replies would be there are always wars happening in the desert but the soon vaccine for all did get his attention. But instead of looking for the rapture ... he stubbornly insists the church will be going thru the tribulation soooo he wants to have every herb at his finger tips so it counteracts any DNA change and is planting every helpful fruit tree or bush on his property. :wacko: Grant it he has helped me out with my Lyme disease since the meds are not working. So far I have 8 bottles of herbs to take daily he recommended to fight off the virus and they are working because I’m feeling better already. But for him to think he can stay on his California property and fight against the AC system ... its just laughable :mdrmdr: Preppers, gotta love them. What He fails to realize is that God allows Satan his time to reign, and that the judgements are from Him! Does He really want to play against God?! TR As we who dive into scripture daily are totally aware, there will be no place to hide; the earth will be shaken, the mountains will melt, the heavens will fall. The AC will have his short time (7 years) as God works with the Jewish nation during the tribulation, I have often mentioned to prep-per friends who have spent lots of dollars with underground bunkers, food, and ammunition, think satellite heat imaging, quakes, floods ... that bunker may become a grave. I believe in preparation for what we may know and some of what we can surmise (how many folks stocked up on supplies for this quarantine?), but you should not ever think you will beat God, He has one plan and it is even now being perfectly orchestrated. I know, I’m thankful to be prepared to fly away at the trumpet sound. Who in their right mind (I can say that to this family) would even want to live through the terror to come, seriously, it is not a game of throws .... :prayer-hands: Quite a huge and useless gamble! TR For those that are saved in Tribulation, I wonder how many will acknowledge our wisdom of choosing Christ during the age of grace?! TR He thinks the Lord is going to divinely protect him just like God did to the Israelites in Goshen when the plagues came down on the Egyptians. I said when Yellowstone blows and triggers the San Andreas quake its all over ... California will either be a floating island or a sunken one ...
