Does anyone believe that they have entertained angels unawares?! Not the appearance of angels as like in hospice settings, not orbs, not appearances in the clouds. But in hindsight, having had earthly encounters and interaction with Angels??? Would like to hear any thoughts and recollections from you all. The last guy I asked told me he married her! :bye: :good: :yes: TR I believe some if not all of us have, we just did not realize it. As simple as holding a door and a matter of a few seconds can make a difference. Some might be more direct as a stranger saying something to us that changed the way we might have gone. Unawares is the whole thing. :unsure: There have been many stories of people who have been helped, and when they turned to thank their benefactors, they have vanished. I also again cite the many reported appearances in the 60's and 70's where angels appeared and disappeared from moving vehicles. Claiming that Jesus was coming back! TR These are 2 examples of my encounters of invisible angels doing their job in helping/protecting me. When I would take my mom for her doctor appointments I couldn’t lift up the heavy wheelchair into the back of my suv. So I prayed Jesus I’m going to need your help in lifting up this heavy wheelchair. Then I took a deep breath and tried to lift it up again and it was light as a feather. I didn’t see anything - the angel(s) were invisible. I turned to my right side and said thank and turned to the left side and did the same. I had to keep praying for this type of assistance or else I would be struggling. —————————- While driving home from work 2 deer were heading right at me. I cried out Jesus please help me. I slammed on my brakes ... the one deer ran across in front of my vehicle but there was no impact and that deer made it safely across the street. But the other deer was heading right at my driver side door. Instead of crashing into me ... the deer suddenly was prancing violently around in circles. I could see his eyes were terrified in what he saw and that is when I put my foot back on the accelerator and took off. In the rear view mirror I saw him stop circling around and he ran straight across the street to the other side. I was so thankful no cars were behind me or coming from the other lane. I recall an unsaved former co-worker back in the 1990’s saying she had an encounter with an angel. She said she was driving on a highway and saw this lady hitch hiker and felt compelled to stop to pick up this stranger. She finds out the hitch hicker’s name is the same name as her mom, who recently died. They talked for a bit and then the hitch hiker suddenly wanted out of the car. So she pulls over to the side of the road and lets her out. As she drove off she is looking in her rear view mirror and the hitch hiker suddenly disappears into thin air. She claims that must have been her guardian angel sent to comfort her. I personally didn’t know what to say. I’m puzzled because can male angels take on a female form? By the way is that guy still married to his “angel”? :wacko: Thanks for sharing. Yes he is still married to his angel. I have never thought of my wife as an angel, but truly as my gift from God! I have extensively read NDE accounts for years, and of angelic encounters as well. Angels have always been prominently featured in God's dealings with men. Lastly, one begs the question. Why do we deal with angels, unaware anyway? Many years ago my wife and I went to a retreat. During a lunch session we talked with a lady who was gifted to see people's guardian angels. After some provocative conversation she exclaimed that she had seen my angel. She claimed that my angel was constantly with me, since birth. She described a large and radiant being, some 9ft tall or so. Yielding a great and terrible sword! He was a mighty warrior angel assigned to me for my protection. She asked if I had a difficult birth or childhood. I explained that I was born two months early and weighed 17 oz at birth. At a very young age, I died in my grandmother's arms. My grandfather being the good catholic man that he was, immediately went to the medicine cabinet grabbing a bottle of St. Joseph's mineral oil and proceeded to rub my chest. I was revived. She assured me that my angel had always been with me. And related how she had not any other angel so large and so glorious and imposing! That's the closest I have ever gotten to an angel. Seemed kinda trippy forty years ago, so I simply and graciously received her gift. :prayer-hands: :dieu: TR Amazing testimony, TR. Wow, you have a 9 foot angel protecting you! That has got to be very comforting. One of my brothers jokes and says my angel never got his wings since I face some weird situations. I was trying to study more on angels last night and all the on-line sources so far that I searched, all are in agreement that angels can not be female. So that leads me to believe the unsaved that see a female angel ... it hast to be a trick from the devil or demons. Perhaps they have the ability to apply a female face mask for a few minutes? And I think a lot of us do entertain angels ... for example ... when things we are looking for “suddenly” go missing. I will search everywhere in the house and not find it. Then I will pray for the Lord’s help. And then I will look around again and there it is in plain sight. So I got a feeling the angel will put what we are missing right in front of us and I’m also leaning towards the demons like to take our things away and hide them just to annoy us. Bless your heart Geri7! I can't count the number of times that angels have saved my bacon. But we must remember that they do the Lord's bidding, they really don't work for us specifically! Guardian angels may have a more specific duty to us. I can no more glorify angels than I can Mary the mother of Christ. Each deserves their due accordingly. But if the ministrations of the Lord includes angelic assistance, God will get all the glory. I'm not about to join any cultic worship of angels, nor do I want to be one. They in the end, are simply God's servants. We are the Bride of Christ! That said, it is indeed encouraging when the Lord ordains angelic interaction on our behalf. To Him be the glory. Angelic encounters and intervention is but a small portion of the many blessings the Lord bestows! Still it is exciting to share. TR I agree angels are not to be worshipped. That unsaved former co-worker who saw that female angel ... used to love the tv program ... “Touched by an Angel”. I never watched that show so I’m not sure if that program was Biblically sound. Biblically sound or not, it certainly offered a spotlight for God! But then again, how many churches are biblically sound? TR
