who knows about the 23rd.

its israel's election, the 4th one in 2 years. wouldnt that be :popcorn time if the many, the citizens, put a government in place for 7 years (because of all the elections they have recently been through) that would agree to go ahead with building the third temple

Sorry everyone, I should clear up a mistake I made in my comment above. Nisan 14 is always on the last day of the week not the first. Even so, Passover of that year was on the Roman equivalent to our day called Thursday. Unleavened bread was at sundown right after Jesus' body was placed in the tomb. If the calendar had been Hebrew the feast of unleaven bread would have gone for 7 days, but because it was the Roman calendar the next sundown was Saturday the Sabbath. According to Lev 23:11 "on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it", the morrow after was Sunday the day Jesus rose from the grave. God used the combination of the Roman calendar and the Hebrew calendar to fulfill the 3 feasts in 3 days.

Rick, the first day of the week was Sunday. Palm Sunday is named that for a reason, because the Triumphal Entry that year was on Nisan 10 which was a Sunday. Four days later, on Passover which would have been a Thursday, Jesus died. They buried Him before evening began because the next day which, as you rightly pointed out, was the first day of Unleavened Bread which was a sabbath. He spent the following days and nights buried (3 days and 3 nights):

Buried on Thursday before the sun set at the end of Passover, from 3-6 PM Thursday Day (Day 1)

Friday Evening (Night 1) (start of the 15th)

Friday Day (Day 2)

Saturday Evening (Night 2) (start of the 16th)

Saturday Day (Day 3)

Sunday Evening (Night 3) (start of the 17th)

Rose on Sunday before morning broke on the 1st day of the Week. This is why we go to church on Sundays and not Saturdays... celebrating Resurrection Sunday. I'm not sure what you mean by Nisan 14 always being on the first day of the Week. It wasn't the week Christ died.

I feel like it's misleading to post the start and end date info without giving full context for the rest of the research which paints the entire picture. However, I'm reluctant to do this since you all are looking for this year.

Here is the rest of the research which includes the Nisan 10 info.
