I wrote this eulogy a while back when my best friend died (originally titled "Joe Christian Died Today", and I am now resurrecting this in tribute to one of our members (churchgal) who lost her beautiful daughter (Brandi) in 2018.  May we all reunite with her soon! God bless you churgal, and any person who is touched by Brandi's prior death and current LIFE, who will come to Jesus through her passing.

Churchgal’s daughter Brandi died recently and is now at rest in Heaven; however, Brandi would not wish for this to be a somber occasion!  We do not grieve like those who have no Eternal Hope -- we CELEBRATE because Brandi has now been transformed from mortal to immortal.   She is in Paradise and there is NO SORROW there -- only unfathomable HAPPINESS. She is looking down upon us from the Heavenlies hoping that we ALL will join her soon. There is no regret in a Christian’s death when they arise to find themselves in a much better place than what this world has to offer. Every Christian has God’s PROMISE on this, and Brandi gladly took God at His Word. We are well-served to do the same.  We will either be Raptured, or we will die so as to live again!

But Brandi’s death transcends her life and allows the Holy Spirit one final opportunity to reach out and touch one of her acquaintances that has come to pay their last respects.  While Brandi’s body is absent from this earth, her Spirit is fully alive and moving amongst those who were touched by her life.  Brandi lived an honorable life and reflected the Light of Jesus onto those around her -- all to the Glory of God!   Brandi has now traded her corrupt body in order to acquire a new uncorrupted and Glorified Body.   Hallelujah!!

The words of this eulogy are shared in the hope that it might change the life of a hurting and lost soul --just as similar words changed Brandi’s eternal destiny many years ago.  Brandi would be delighted and honored to know that through her passing someone might come to realize the TRUTH, receive the WORD of God, and trade death for LIFE!!  Thus, a destiny will be rerouted from the Horrors of Hell to the Blessings of Heaven!!  As Jesus saved the soul of Brandi, there is no barrier about His saving any other sinner who has ever lived or will live.

It takes ONLY ONE reflective moment, ONLY ONE chance recognized, ONLY ONE opportunity seized, and ONLY ONE FREE GIFT ACCEPTED.  This is not about Brandi, or about her pastor, or about her family.  This moment is about ONE individual who may be desperately seeking HOPE and DIRECTION in their life.   So, in the worldly vernacular, we say “This Bud’s for YOU.  In the Heavenly Realm, it may be better stated as, “This message from God, spoken through the Holy Spirit about Jesus Christ is for YOU!!”

Almost two thousand years ago on Passover, the day the Perfect Sacrificial Lamb was slain in Israel, on a Cross, on a hill, at Calvary, Jesus Christ died so that we could live.  What better way is there to honor the memory of Brandi, than to know that THIS day you believed the TRUTH and were saved by the sacrifice of God's perfect Lamb, His only begotten Son, Who lived a Perfect, Spotless life so that HE could be found worthy in death to pay the penalty for YOUR sins.    Thus, He paid a debt that He didn’t owe, because we owed a debt that we couldn’t pay!!   He paid our account in full so that Brandi, and you, and I can pass over (thus the term PASSOVER) FROM DEATH INTO LIFE.

We are all just a heartbeat away from death.  Do you KNOW where YOU will spend eternity?  Please, if you do not have the ABSOLUTE ASSURANCE that if you died at this moment that you would go directly to Heaven, then PLEASE listen to these Words from God, reflect on their PROMISE, seize upon your moment of opportunity, and accept what the Holy Spirit is speaking to your heart (from Romans 10: 9, 10,13):

.. if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou SHALT BE SAVED…For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him SHALL NOT BE ASHAMED.
… For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord SHALL BE SAVED.

It is as simple as that!  Believe that Jesus Christ lived a Perfect life and died a Perfect propitiatory death so that we could have LIFE, and THAT more abundantly!!   There are no WORKS involved, there is nothing that we can do to EARN our Salvation because we are all lost sinners without hope.  That is unless we accept that Jesus did all the work, and that His last words on the Cross confirmed it when He victoriously, for all time, for all of mankind, declared that “IT IS FINISHED!!”   Brandi is at rest in those promises right now.

May God bring every last sinner to Salvation so that we can all finally be taken where we want to go -- Heaven!

Humbly

Truth!  Again, we have all lost loved one's and friends!  Not to mention our own ancestral lines which came before us and left us!

Every man could be called Adam, and every woman called Eve!

Indeed, we miss their presence with us, but then we will be present with them again! Forevermore!

HI, I am moved beyond words, happy tears wash over my face as I read that most beautiful tribute. I recognize that it was originally written for your friend but seeing Brandi’s name woven into those lovely words bring me such joy. I can’t begin to thank you enough, and I plan to share this on her FB page and hope that someone will take advantage of the Lord’s most loving gift as a result.

Your kind and thoughtful spirit has made this broken momma’s heart very happy today :rose:

churchgal -- I am very happy that your broken heart feels a little lighter today with what the Holy Spirit inspired me to write and what might have been ultimately intended for you to begin with.  Who knows -- I cannot even begin to fathom the Love and the Wisdom of God.   Unfortunately, I was also inspired recently to write another eulogy (I've had a lot of loss in my life lately) for my 17-year old dog that we had to put down -- and which took a great deal of my heart down with her.  I believe that these parting words written by her to me (to console me and uplift me) could have also been written by Brandi to you -- and that both of our beloved girls are waiting impatiently right now for you and me.

Don't Cry Because It's Over -- Smile Because It Happened!

Please don’t be sad now that I’m gone,

My legs once more are as strong as the wind,

I have no more encumbrances or earthly pain,

And I’m able to run and jump again.

I’m so sorry that I had to leave you now,

But our separation will just be for a short while,

Soon we’ll be together again for all eternity,

To laugh, to love, to dance, to smile.

My life has been full, I have savored so much,

Don’t diminish those memories with undue grief,

We’ll meet again soon in Heavenly Pastures,

Jesus told me that this interval would be very brief.

Jesus is currently holding me in His lovingly arms,

And He appreciates the care that you provided to me,

Let not your heart be troubled – please share my delight,

I am unbelievably happy and have finally been set free!

I will see you soon, so keep please keep smiling,

I am no longer hindered and am totally at peace,

Your Blessed Hope is on the far horizon,

I will always love you, and am awaiting your release!

May God bless you richly in the interim,

Humbly

I used that quote from Dr. Seuss to finish my eulogy for my father. Smile
One day our tears of sorrow will be transformed into tears of joy. Smile
