@Arthur, yes, Pentecost also is a very viable candidate and I have always wondered if there is some future fulfillment since Jesus was present at Passover, Unleavened bread and Firstfruits (resurection day) but was long gone 10 days before Pentecost so I wonder if it was not fully fulfilled on the basis that He was not there and the feasts are all about Him (although obviously the Holy Spirit came on that day) so that is another head scratcher and also has a lot of merit.

@Tender Reed, I think you confused my two trains of thought in my last post. The 4 day reference was if we are at Abib 10 today on the Dead Sea scrolls calendar, Passover would be 4 days from now.  But what I started out suggesting was that if creation happened on Abib 1, then perhaps man fell into sin 14 days later (not 4) on Abib 14 which would one day become Passover.

Technically this would be day 8 for man since he was created on the 6th day.  8 isn’t a very long time to fall into sin either, but man is but of a few days and full of trouble lol.  8 is also the number for new beginnings, but new beginnings does not necessarily mean always good beginnings - this could have been a new beginning that wasn’t so good, the fall into sin.  All of this is of course speculative and I wouldn’t dare to be dogmatic about any of it.

I have heard others who have suggested the 7 years free of sin as you mentioned, but here is my logic why I think it was a relatively short time, probably less than a month - and I can’t take credit for this,I heard this from someone else ( I can’t remember who) but it made a lot of sense to me.

So we know a woman’s fertility cycle is monthly - we can start with that.  When God created man and woman He told them to be fruitful and multiply, that is also established.  In a perfect sinless state, there would be no reason for Eve to be barren, and in fact obviously God’s will was for them to multiply, so to say they were sinless anything more than a month would beg the question - why didn’t Eve conceive a child in that period?  I doubt they were being celibate, they would have no reason to especially when told by God to multiply.  So how could they have gone 7 years without producing children?  Again, I would argue that they probably would have conceived their first child in the first month of creation in a sinless state so it leads me to think it was a relatively short time that elapsed before they fell into sin since they did not conceive a child until after they fell into sin.  Anyway, again, I couldn’t be dogmatic, just my line of reasoning behind it.

Sorry for my confusion!  All interesting little details we shall know when we see him!

No doubt sin doesn't take long to manifest!  Wonder how long it took Lucifer and the angels?!

I guess there’s no way of knowing but why do I feel like they held out longer than we did?!?  I guess I hold a pretty low opinion of mankind lol.  Good thing I am not God because I don’t know what He sees in us most of the time - but praise Him, praise Him, praise Him for His Amazing Grace!!!

We are a sorry lot indeed!  I also feel the same way!

Thankful for His love and His patience!  Indeed, we and the Angel's fall way short of His perfection and glory!

I guess that's what makes relationships so difficult!

Again, though He loves us all, I'm still His favorite!

I think satan didn’t waste any time in deceiving Adam and Eve.  He is full of jealousy and the fact man was made in God’s image made him even more irate with rage.

I was just talking about this earlier this week …

I have a book called “Mysteries of the Bible Now Revealed” in Chapter 1  Grant Jeffrey’s talks about the names of 25 trees encoded in Genesis 2 … here they are:

Vine
Grape
Chestnut
Dense Forest
Date
Acacia
Bramble
Cedar
Nut
Fig
Willow
Pomegranate
Aloe
Tamarisk
Oak
Poplar
Cassia
Almond
Mastic
Thorn Bush
Hazel
Olive
Citron
Fir
Wheat (related to Tree of Knowledge) so … was the forbidden fruit actually Grape Jelly Donuts? B-)

75AEBA44-AB47-4A2A-9B8B-D63F30C03838

Wheat is a major ingredient in such foods as: bread, porridge, crackers, biscuits, Muesli, pancakes, pasta and noodles, pies, pastries, pizza, polenta and semolina, cakes, cookies, muffins, rolls, doughnuts, gravy, beer, vodka, Boza (a fermented beverage) and breakfast cereals.

“A popular Israeli folktale holds that the word “sufganiyah” (Jelly Donut) comes from the Hebrew expression “Sof Gan Yud-Heh” (“סוף גן יה”), meaning “the end of the Garden of the Lord” (referring to the Garden of Eden)”

Jelly Donuts are also eaten during the celebration of  Hanukkah!

– Fair Use –

I wonder how long it took before they were banned from the garden?  Did they pack up their bags and pick more Jelly donuts before leaving?  We know the Tree of Life is up in heaven but what happened to the Knowledge of Good and Evil Tree?  Did that tree die off and what about the rest of the Garden?  Was there an earthquake that open up and swallowed up the entire Garden?   And will it be restored in the Millennium Kingdom?

It is possible that it could have been 30 years. (The age when one is eligible to become a priest.) Perhaps God allowed Adam to mature before the temptation came from the devil. Just like Yeshua/Jesus, the Second Adam, was 30 years old before He was tempted in the wilderness by the devil.

Or...perhaps God made Adam fully mentally and physically mature of 30 years of age and the sin in the garden happened shortly after creation. Maybe just a matter of a few days.

So, if Bishop Usher was correct in a October 4004 BC date minus 30 years and you come to late 3974. 3974 +2022 = 5996 years. -1 for no year zero is around 5995 years. (Minus the partial year.)

I have contended for a while that our calendar system could be off by up to 2 years. Some of the Roman consul lists that we use for dating years are fragmentary.

Whatever the case, we are definitely in the season. Still hoping for today or in the next few days. If so, praise the Lord! If not, praise the Lord! The LORD is GOOD! :yahoo:

I would suspect it would have been very soon after the act of disobedience. IMHO, the same day. God simply couldn't allow humanity in a sinful state to inherit eternal life.

So, no jelly doughnuts for the road, either.

Genesis 3:22-24

New King James Version

22 Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— 23 therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. 24 So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

I think it was in the Shemitah 2022 youtube that Yohanan posted … the guy in that youtube stated about reaching 6,000 years … many forget to include … you need to allow 1 year for the Great White Throne Judgement.
