I watched the Robert Redford movie the “Candidate” in 1972 and if I remember the last words correctly, the newly-elected official said something to the effect: “What do we do now?” Talk is cheap, but walking the talk is a whole different issue entirely. Power is all that matters, and when you have power in politics, your constituency is of little concern.
